We were expected and the owner was waiting to show us round. Because he had some apartments not occupied, he kindly offered us a choice.

In terms of facilities, it was exactly as described on the web but your description could not show just how well looked after this property is. The owners keep it beautifully clean and the outside areas are immaculate, with shrubs and flowers always watered and looking good. Similarly your web description could not describe just how freindly and helpful the owners are.

A beautiful, quiet location, with apartments of exceptionally high quality. The owners are generous and always helpful and the whole area is kept in an immaculate condition. We have stayed in 10 or more villas and apartments in central Italy and this is one of the very best.

Our host was very friendly and considerate. He showed us how everything in the apartment worked. He gave us directions to a local restaurant and even gave us some treats just to be nice.

Podere La Casaccia was a wonderful place to stay. The farmhouse has been restored with the finest of materials (beautiful chestnut doors and windows, ironwork, and masonry all done by artisans). The setting is gorgeous and we did not even see it when all the trees and grapevines were leafed out (we were there in March). Our hosts were most welcoming and friendly.

I would mention the quality of the restoration. This was a Tuscan place as we imagined one, only better. Our hosts spoke very good English and made our visit very pleasant.

A very beautiful farm. An oasis after busy days touring some of the crowded sights of Tuscany .... and a great place to relax when we took a day off.

It would be very helpful to have on the web that from Florence or Pisa you need to use the Consuma pass which is very windy and treacherous and adds at least sn extra 47 minutes to any journey and is not for the faint hearted.
