The directions were a little confusing when we got closer and we had to call for help several times, but they were very helpful in guiding us to the hotel, and even came out onto the road to make sure we didn't pass by.

Everything was wonderful...the ONLY thing I would change is the towels in the bathroom. It felt like you were using the bedspread to dry off with...they looked nice, but I think something a little softer would have been better! The handmade soap was a nice touch!

They give you a gift when you leave, which I thought was a very nice touch! They even came out and hugged everyone when we left and said goodbye. Great people!

The staff was very friendly and accomodating! They even fed 11 of us at 11:00 at night when our plane was delayed. I would say they went out of their way when we were there, and I don't think alot of places would do something like that!

I would recommend it to any of my friends. The view was incredible. The rooms were very unique in their decor. The pool, sauna, tennis court were great for the kids. The food was also very good and so was the wine!! Overall, a great experience!

The view from the rooms and the pool area was spectacular. It was great to have the spa facilities (steam room, sauna, & jacuzzi) on the premises. The massuese was
excellent. The exercise equipment was in good condition & there is lots of choices.
The Tennis courts are in good shape. I felt
the best part was that the people who ran it
were very warm and helpful. They printed maps for us and made reservations. Their English is excellent and if you don't speak Italian that is important. We had a wonderful time and we would love to go back.

everything else was great, but just that

Arrival to Podere Castellare was nice and the atmosphere very laidback and relaxing. Giada showed us the pool and told us about the facilities etc.

To our disappointment the cook had a day off
and the dinner we had at Podere Castellare was not to our liking and worth the money.

I did not find any information of the possible restaurants, historic sights, vineyards etc. in the surrounding area.
This information would have been useful.

Location a bit middle of nowhere, however nice and peaceful. No restaurants or crocery stores nearby, so buy your mineralwater in advance . House itself an interesting mix of old and new, modern interior decoration with details and fresh colour pickings that are bound to put a smile on your face. Interior design is why we picked this place from the web.
A bit expensive maybe, but quite unique.

We felt it was over priced. The bed was not comfortable, the towels were not absorbant, more like bedspreads. The property was very remote. The food was good. The staff was pleasant.

We were pressured to check out by 10:30 when the property was clearly empty. It was very annoying.

The brochure made you think it was a very contempory hotel. Lots of attempts had been made i.e. the bathroom was polished concrete with chrome fittings, the fitness centre superb.It is still however an italian old house. That bit was left off so was not quite what was expected. It did not spoil our enjoyment.

Small and intimate hotel, not like a bigger one where you could remain aloof if chosen. We knew all staff and guests in first evening.

mmmm ... we have no faults but not sure about recommending not cheap not chic but was our first time to tuscany so cant compare it to anything else. It might be the best around or there might be something better, would let our friends explore themselves. The management was excellent and friendly.
