A delightful 15 metre swimming pool in a panoramic position, with large solarium, changing rooms, frigo bar and illumination at night. Thanks to the solar panels the water of the pool is always warm so that customers can enjoy a swim even in October or November when the weather is cooler.

 Restaurant with air conditioning
In the restaurant soft lavender walls, Kreon lamps and simple, rustic furniture create an intimate, relaxed ambience. During the summer customers enjoy meals on a pink-painted veranda lighted at night by candles. Our kitchen offers at dinner a complete menu from starter to dessert of traditional Toscan dishes prepared with homegrown biologial ingredients and at lunch all customers are welcome to enjoy one of our delicious mixed salads or simple light dishes such as "Ham and Melon", "grilled vegetables" "pasta or rice salad", selection of Tuscan cheeses with chestnut honey or mustard. On request it is possible to have also lunch which is mainly a cold dish of the day or lots of choises still cold and it is possible to have also pasta or meat. |
 All the dishes are seasoned by our extra virgin olive oil is made entirely from olives exclusively harvested in our olive groves and pressed in our Moriaolo and Leccino mills. To respect the integrity, the olives are handpicked, packed and transported under the best conditions to the mill: By safe guarding the characteristics of the olives we are able to produce a very high quality extra virgin oil-apprecited by expert tasters. Naturally all dishes can be accompanied by our excellent selection of red and white wines. |

 Near Podere Castellare there are 2 villages where you can find a bank, a post office, a food market, a chemist and a petrol station.
Horse Riding: at about 7 km away from Podere Castellare there is a nice and equipped riding ground where you can enjoy horse riding through the woods or even horse riding lessons.
Places to visit:
Pelago- a very suggestive and nice village just 3 km away from Podere Castellare, it became famous after the well-known "On the Road Festival" which is held in July and attracts many artists and musicians from all over the world.
Poppi- a medieval village at about 20 minutes by car with its beautiful castle and its natural park.
Vallombrosa- a splendid area with a natural park and a suggestive abbey where the monks welcome visitors with their home made liqueur.
Casentino and Mugello area:
Podere Castellare is located in the middle of these two splendid areas with their castles, villages, mills and farms where visitors are always welcome to taste delicious cheeses and salami as well as excellent wines. |
