 Cooking courses : Our cooking courses are carried out during three half days and are reserved to the guests of our hotel and our country houses. Their setting is a unique place: the medieval kitchen of the ancient monastery of Villa Pitiana. Each day our guests (in group of max 12 persons) lern how to prepare a single recipe of the tuscan cooking. The whole course offers the composition proceeding of a hors-d'oeuvres and two main dishes. After the preparation the participants are invited to a food and wine tasting.
Our cooks speak English and provide information about the history and the tradition of the Tuscan food, the olive oil and the wine. A visit to a n ancient winery is part of our programme.At the end of the lessons our guests are given a Tuscan cookery book in English and a keepsake of their stay in the Florentine countryside.
The swimming pool: 16 mt x 8 mt is surrounded by an area where you can have relaxing and sunbathing. |
 Meetings: Villa Pitiana is opening its doors to Meetings and Congresses. Until now we took care of meetings on behalf of our Clients only. The satisfaction of them, convinced us to face this new challenge, which will find us perhaps with less experience than others, but with the awareness to offer an extra-ordinary place.  The building is based in a monastery of 1000 enlarged into a villa in 1800. It is located at 400 mt. on sea level, surrounded by the hills of "Eastern florentine" Chianti, 25 km. far from the centre of Florence. The Serenity of this place, surely inspired by the monks tradition, has been carefully preserved through the years. During the breaks of your work, you can walk through the ancient corridors of the monastery, the wide salons of the villa, enjoying the museum-like atmosphere, or visit the botanical garden: this will not solve the problems you have left in the meeting-room, but perhaps will help you to find the right resolution and allow you a really relaxing pause.
Excursions: For those who do not participate to the meeting, we offer a wide range of choices: - Trekking, mountain-bike excursions or horse-riding within the 500 hectares of the "natural reserve" of Pitiana. - Tuscan cooking classes, possibly adjoined with wine tasting, for one or more days. - Outlet tour in the very neighbourhood: Gucci, Prada, Desmo. - Tours to the main Tuscan art cities, with booking of visit to your favourite museums. - Guided tours to the most renowned oil mills, bakeries, butcheries and seller of the area.
