The Villa di Piazzano is situated among the green hills of the Val di Chiana, between Lake Trasimeno and the enchanting Tuscan town of Cortona. Built by Cardinal Silvio Passerini in the 16th Century as his hunting manor,

Today we have turned it into a
splendid guest House. The surrounding natural beauty is unchanged and unspoiled.

The peaceful countryside invites you to relax in the park. The stunning landscape inspires you to discover the nearby country paths. Situated in a valley nestled by olive groves, sunflower fields and vinyards, today the Villa preserves the beauty and architectural features of the original building.

The hotel is furnished with antiques belonging to the family ancestors and the rooms offer all the modern comforts and facilities. It is in fact a family run business and the owners are strongly committed to provide a hig quality service that meets the needs and expectations of their guests.

A strong point of the Villa is the perfect location right on the border between Umbria and Tuscany. The closest town is Cortona (2.5 miles), a medieval town. This is an excellent touring base for planning day trips to Florence, Siena, the Chianti region, Orvieto, Perugia, Assisi and many other interesting sites, as well as to wineries and olive oil mills.

For the less adventurous, there are many easier walks or bike riding tours from the hotel, or simply this is the
perfect place for relaxing in the garden. Good golfing oppotunities in the surroundings.
