Most everyone will attempt to turn left on a road that has a Pecille sign - that is not the hotel. ... I will return. Air conditioning a 'real' plus. ... Easy ... Would love to have 'American-style' coffee available at breakfast. ... Serene, bucolic, quiet. A rewarding alternative from a frenetic lifestyle. If I were to pick one word decribing this location...it would be 'healing'.

An excellent hotel with very friendly and helpful staff, always there to help but never 'in your face'. I will recommend this hotel to anyone that I know to be visiting Tuscany and would certainly stay there myself again. Can't praise it highly enough.

stunning views disappointing evening meal - needs a proper chef. Present staff did try very hard but a professional person is required to give it the 4 star it deserves. ... evening meal is an additional offer but was disappointing as some of the same type of food appeared at breakfast- see comment above ... idyllic and exactly what your imagination sees of tuscany

Staff became more friendly as our stay progressed. They were always polite, respectful, and willing to provide information when we asked for them. This is a beautiful place, both the setting of the landscape on which it is situated and the well-maintained property makes it an ideal location to stay. Our bathroom was very small. The presence of the bidet (practically facing the toilet seat) can make it difficult for a taller person to sit on the toilet. This was not an issue for us, but it would probably be better if the bidet was removed. Our Florence hotel had a bathroom similar in size. It did not have a bidet and so gave us more room to move around. ... Check out was smooth. The desk manager was very appreciative when I remarked how much we enjoyed our stay. This was a very, VERY positive experience. ... Your website included more information and photographs than any other site. It was the reason I chose to book through your service.
Thank you. ... My review posted on Tripadvisor.com: 'Ever since I saw a postcard of San Gimignano from a friend visiting Italy 10 years ago, I had wanted to see San Gimignano. The view from the Pescille gave me exactly that gorgeous postcard view - and more. My husband and I spent 3 nights here on our honeymoon and it was the most beautiful, relaxing, and idyllic place of all the hotels we stayed. Our room was on the top floor facing the front of the hotel. From our balcony, we saw the famous town set amidst the glorious rolling hills of vinyards and olive groves that made Tuscany so legendary. The Pescille is located on one of the higher, undeveloped, hills - which is far more advantageous than many of the other hotels and farmhouses surrounding SG. The inside furnishings are rather contemporary and simple. This would normally be an issue for one who prefers old-English, antique-filled rooms - but who cares about the inner decor when the views outside are so glorious? The owners took care to create lots of little 'nooks' on the grounds for those who wish to relax in private and everywhere provides lovely views. The swimming pool is HUGE and clean and the landscaping classic. Breakfast was bountiful and had a good variety. Lunch offerings on the outside patio consisted of simple foods that are reasonably priced. I think they grow their own vegetables and herbs - fresh and delicious. The hotel staff was young, energetic, and friendly. Thank you so much for making our stay so perfect!'

Staff very accommodating and made us feel very welcome providing some food with a smile ... I found everything to be of a very high standard. Could vary the breakfast menu on consecutive mornings. ... The fabulous tasting balsamic vinegar. ... Comfortable with and well maintained rooms. The breakfast was excellent with a lovely dining area. The hammock was a big hit and the terraces were perfect for relaxing. The staff were very helpful and genuinely wanted to make our stay as pleasent as possible. Any additional charges such as water and phone calls were what I would have expected, as sometimes these can be a surprise. The location was very picturesque with great views and a great base for touring the area. All food we had there was tasty, fresh and well presented, except for the dried out bread which we got on arrival which I would say had been made much earlier that morning.

As this relates to question #12 -The biggest shock is additional charges for towels. I can understand charges if towels for the pool are not returned, however do to our travel schedule upon arrival we took showers and then again in the evening and were charged $2.00 per towel. This is a basic service. The response we received was 3 people - 3 towels.

My husband & I found Hotel Pescille an excellent base for exploring Tuscany (plus even got as far as Cinque Terre). We loved San Gimignano but with heaps of other tourists still around, H Pescille was a great retreat. Our balcony overlooking SG towers/township was an excellent place in evenings to enjoy a bottle of local wine. We loved it!

WE spent 10 days traveling through Tuscany and I ahve to say that our stay here was one of the highlights of our trip. It is situated in a vineyard 2 km. outside San Gimingnano. At night the town was light up and visible from our spacious and very comfortable room. I have never seen such large bathrooms like ours was, anywhere in Europe. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicous and served on a scenic terrace. The others travers staying there were international and made for a stimulating breakfast. Our only regret is that we were unable to stay longer. I would definitely go back and have already recomended this place to firends who a re considering traveling in the area. ... see above ... see above ... My only comment is that we were told that the hotel was 2km outside of the town. HOwever, it owuld have been helpful to us to know wheter is was north of town, south of town, etc. ... see above

Our arrival experience was excellent. The staff immediately helped with our luggage and satisfied any needs we had. ... Our stay at the Hotel Pescille was wonderful. The rooms were immaculate and the staff more than polite. Our only complaint was that the air conditioners were turned off and no heat until Nov. 1. The rooms were warm at the beginning of our staff and then the temperature cooled down and it was actually cold especially in the bathrooms. This would not deter me from staying at the hotel in the future. The buffet breakfast was very good and again my compliments to the entire staff. ... Beautiful and scenic.

Help with bags was wonderful. Recommendation for dinner and other places very good ... We absolutely loved this site. It has fantastic views of San Gimignano, hills, vineyards, etc. The room was spacious and well organized ... No I don't. Should be stressed that it is in a very peaceful location with wonderful views. ... A wonderful spot where it would be fun to just sit around the pool, or play tennis and relax for at least a day. Unfortunately, we didn't have the time to do that. Maybe next time.

We stayed in three different hotels on our holiday to Italy, and the Hotel Pescille was by far the best one in terms of service, value, and overall relaxation. We will definitely be recommending this hotel to our friends, and hopefully we'll return there ourselves soon. ... It should mention the breakfast and brunches on the terrace, and the small bar that offers the hotel's wine. Both are nice touches. ... This is a wonderful hotel and good value for the money. The grounds (pool, vineyard, terrace) are very relaxing, the rooms are clean, and the service is perfect. All costs are clearly stated, so there are no surprises. In all, it's a great relaxing country hotel with the benefit of a charming town just a few minutes away.

We tried to book a hotel in the centre of San Gimignano - we were so pleased that they were full & that we were directed here. We couldn't have improved on the Hotel Pescille. It is away from the bustle of the nearby town - quiet and relaxing with plenty of parking and ease of access.

Everything was positive. The only negative thing we can think of was the coffee in the morning. It could be a lot better, especially that Italy is known for it's coffee. ...

Nothing additional other than it was just perfect in every way. ... Again, nothing other than perfection. The nicest hotel we stayed in during our entire visit, wish we had stayed longer. ... None, it was fine. ... It was perhaps a little bit more out of the way than we had expected. We got used to it and found it easily with each back and forth trip, but initially, it was a bit difficult to find. The signs for the hotel were so small to read while driving, we missed it twice! ... I would recommend it highly as it was recommended to us!

We had a wonderful stay in a remarkable hotel. It is located on a hill that overviews the town of San Giminagno. The hotel itself is much nicer than it appears on the images. It has the most beautiful garden that is layed out in cascades and a very nice, big pool. The food was delicous. We had a breakfast buffet and enjoyed a couple of lunches. It was one of the most perfect hotels I have ever stayed in and we are planning on going back next year. ... The perfect hotel to stay in!

first rate - no comments ... I was so happy with our stay, I emailed the hotel straight away on my return to thank them ... no comments - all ok ... It would be nice if on some evenings you offered the berbecue service. There were some nights when it was so nice by the pool that we would have liked to eat a simple supper at the hotel instead of having to get dressed and go out to eat ... Simply a perfect base for visiting the sights of Tuscany. Superb , understated service. Hard to leave once you are there. I could go on.

upon check out, we discovered that we were charged 4 euros each for towels used at the swimming pool. We didn't realize this, and only two of the towels were actually used. They should have informed us that there was a charge for the towels. ... The coffee served at breakfast comes out of an automated machine, not the quality of coffee we were served at any place else we have stayed in Italy. ...
