"LA PARRINA" is a historical farming estate situated at the foot of the hills of Tuscan Maremma at the centre of the tourist resort area of "Costa d'Argento" ( Porto Santo Stefano, Porto Ercole, Capalbio). Here, in this unspoilt natural oasis which stretches over four hundred hectares a variety of food products have always been produced: fruit, local cheeses, olive oil and the Parrina's own exclusive wines.

"La Parrina" offers you a quiet relaxing holiday far from crowds and traffic in typically Tuscan Maremman surroundings. Here you can explore the many fascinating Nature trails either on foot, by bicycle or on horseback and encounter wild boar and roe deer.

Those who wish to can dine in the old farmhouse, purchase farm products, take part in DOC wine tasting events or taste the delicious sheep and goats' cheese made from the milk produced on the farm.

"LA PARRINA" is situated on the boundary of the Uccellina Hills and their lush Mediterranean vegetation containing one of nature's most unique environments: from the swamplands of Bocca d'Ombrone (the mouth of the River Ombrone) to the splendid pine woods planted by the Medici family and set among a system of reed-lined canals, while beyond the pinewoods lie the sandy coastal dunes.

Tuscan Maremma has witnessed a long and troubled history including the struggle to tame these once inhospitable plains, but its very special environment has shaped its inhabitants, both man and beast, according to its own image. The indigenous animals include wild boar, roe deer, foxes and porcupines.
