Profile |
Relais Parco Fiorito is the essence of rural hospitality. The right place to land a hand in harvesting, to taste traditional dishes and to enjoy nature. It is situated at only 6 km from the beautiful town of Cortona and at a short distance from Arezzo, Perugia e Siena, this "agriturismo di charme" is owned and personally run by Roberto Russo and his children Claudia and Giuseppe. |
Roberto is the expression himself of the original philosophy of rural hospitality, combined with an authentic passion for the countryside. His guests can participate in various activities, such as the harvesting of olives and grapes, the preparation of jams and marmalades, bread-making and the preparation of "pici" one of the many typical fresh pastas of the region. Many have been his guests, especially foreign, who have participated to his cooking courses. |
On his 26 hectares of land, all the products are biologically grown and used exclusively to prepare the dishes you will taste. We find excellent extra virgin olive oil, wine, wheat and vegetables. Meats are also from the farm: chicken, ducks, guinea-fowl, which together with pigs and lambs, are the basis of the ancient traditional recipes, handed down through generations and enriched by a creative touch. |
Thanks to the careful restoration of the ex-convent of the 16th century and of the two adjacent farm houses, Parco Fiorito has 6 apartments (2-4 and 6 beds) and 4 Suites, with a magnificent view over the town of Cortona. Apartments and suites are fully independent, with traditional wooden and "cotto" fittings plus all mod cons such as television and telephone.
In the park, you can relax under a pleasant "pergola", swim in one of the two swimming pools, one 4x8 mt and the other 8x14 mt or sunbathe in the solarium.
Relais Parco Fiorito is also rightly famous for its "vita parcour", with 16 professional gym equipment; those who feel particularly sporty can take the path through the vineyard and exercise following the illustrations which clearly show six different levels of difficulty. |
