By Highway:
From Rome: From the highway A1 Autostrada del Sole, take the Chiusi-Chianciano Terme exit. Follow the road signs to Montepulciano and then onto Pienza. Go past Pienza at following the signs then for San Quirico d'Orcia. Palazzo Conti is 4km outside Pienza on the road to San Quirico d'Orcia.
From Florence:Through the highway A1Autostrada del Sole, Val di Chiana Exit, follow the road signs to Torrita di Siena and then to Pienza. Go past Pienza at 4km towards San Quirico d'Orcia.
By Train: Get off at Chiusi-Chianciano Terme Station, from where it is possible to get a bus to Montepulciano and Pienza.
By Plane:
Florence: "A. Vespucci" Airport, Rome: "Fiumicino" airport.
It is possible to take a train or to rent a car from both airports and to explore the region it is better to rent a car. |
