How to reach properties by car:
From North:
From north take the Autostrada del Sole A1 in the direction of Bologna and Firenze. Exit the Motorway at Firenze-Certosa. Once off the motorway at the roundabout take the Superstrada for Siena and exit at Poggibonsi Nord (34km).
From South:
From south take the Autostrada del Sole A1 in the direction of Firenze. Exit the Motorway at Val di Chiana (Bettolle) and take the road in the direction of Siena. After 51kms, look for the sign Grosseto-Firenze and take this overpass. After 2 km you will see a sign for Firenze on your right hand side, take this road for 25 km until Poggibonsi Nord and exit there.
How to reach Il Palagetto farmhouse from Poggibonsi Nord:
Follow signs to San Gimignano and after 11km you will arrive at a roundabout, follow signs to Volterra and after 300 meters you'll find the main entrance on your left hand side.
How to reach Il Poggio farmhouse from Poggibonsi Nord:
Follow signs to San Gimignano and after 11km you will arrive at a roundabout, drive always ahead passing through the village of San Gimignano all along the medieval city walls. Once out of San Gimignano you'll find a crossroads, turn left following signs to Gambassi and after about 500 meters on your left hand side you will find the main entrance.
How to reach Casa della Magliaccia from Poggibonsi Nord:
Follow signs to San Gimignano and after 11km you will arrive at a roundabout, follow signs to Volterra and drive ahead for about 3 km until you reach a sign to Racciano, turn right into an uphill street. Once up turn left and drive for about 50 meters, you'll see the main gate of the house on your right hand side.
From Pisa to motorway Exit:
From Pisa follow the directions for the Superstrada Firenze-Pisa-Livorno FI-PI-LI and exit at Empoli Ovest. Drive then towards Ponte a Elsa. From Ponte a Elsa drive on the SS 429 towards Certaldo. Drive through Certaldo and follow then towards San Gimignano. |
