Profile

Everybody knows Firenze, Siena, the leaning Tower of Pisa and the Chianti hills. Many people know San Giminiano, Volterra, Montalcino, Pienza and the Val d'Orcia. Some know Arezzo, Cortona, Sansepolcro and the Casentino valley. A few know the Pratomagno mountain and a very few know Odina. Odina is an ancient restored hamlet immersed in nature, far from the usual tourist itineraries.

At Odina there is no television, hydro-massage tub, or telephone in the bedrooms. On the other hand there are oak, chestnut and pine forests, where mushrooms and wild herbs grow. You can see deer, hare, wild pig, squirrels and also hawks circlying in the sky. Odina is chosen for its simplicity and tranquillity, for the chance to walk in the woods and explore by mountain-bike, for enjoying reading good books and meeting new friends.

Odina is an old rural village lying on the slopes of the Pratomagno mountain and it is only an hour away from Firenze, Siena and Arezzo by car. It is located at an altitude of 650 metres in a commanding position with an enchanting view of the Arno Valley and the green Chianti Hills. Odina is easily reached by an unmade country lane from Loro Ciuffenna, a charming medieval village with the Ciuffenna river running throungh it.
