Pietrasanta (old city where live and work sculptors like Botero and Theymer), Camaiore and Forte dei Marmi (very fashionable town).
We suggest to reach Lucca following the wonderful panoramic route called "Colle Paradiso" and to visit the natural park of Migliarino, near Pisa.
Events:
In Torre del Lago from the end of july to the half of august there is a Festival of Lyric Opera in a delightful open theatre with sight over the small and very romantic lake of Massaciuccoli with the Villa of the celebrated composer Puccini.
Viareggio has an old tradition in the papier-mâché working and the carnival carts carried out with this technique, which parade every year in February along the seafront promenade during the famous Carnival, are high as a two-three floor house. |
