Everything is well discribed. ... A very nice hotel in Tuscany. Very quiet, but after all well situated, near to Montepulciano city, and not so far from a lot of sights in Tuscany. A very good breakfast, and an affordable kitchen for dinner. (The reduction for hotelguests is very sympathic) The swimming-pool is well situated and well maintained. The rooms are very nice, with airco and a nice bathroom. A place to recommend.

Our stay couldn't have been better. Louisa, the receptionist/owner and her husband, the restaurant owner were very welcoming and accomodating for our stay. They made suggestions as to what towns to visit, how to get there and Louisa helped translate to the Taxi driver for us, and to the restaurant on what we'd like to eat. The rooms were exceptional, the pool was a bonus, the breakfast and dinner was delicious... etc... We would recommend the place to anyone wanting to stay in Tuscany. We visited Montepulciano and heard that it is the best wine in Italy! Thanks for the experience! ... It's not within walking distance to any towns. It's a $15 taxi back and forth. Very well worth it. Or rent a car. ... Just as I explained, above, in the comments about our stay.

The appartment (suite) was large, very clean, additional blankets and pillows were available, a fridge was also available, our room was cleaned during our breakfast (1/2 hour), everything was class 1 and over ... We had a free «degustation» of the wines and olive oils, plus very keen advices on the area and roads to take to get to the interesting points. Excellent touristic information. A very good and convivial restaurant on the site is available and very convenient. As compared to other agro-tourismo adresses, it was not 4 km off the town on a gravel, tortuous road. Very accessible. ... A very good agro-tourismo adress that I would not be afraid to recommend.

A very enjoyable experience was made even better by the helpful and friendly staff - especially Louisa. We would recommend this place to anybody without hesitation. A peaceful and relaxing stay in the heart of beautiful countryside. The avaialability of a fine restaraunt on site was welcome and the food and service here was again exemplary. All aspects of the accomodation and the facilities (including the pool) were excellent. A lot of nice touches - eg. decent crockery and pans for self catering. We all loved the place.

We had a very warm welcome by the owner who spoke perfect English and made us feel at home. ... The room we stayed in was large and well maintained. The property at the villa was beautiful and attention was paid to details such as nice flower pots and trees planted. They have done a beautiful job of renovating this very old property. ... the resturant is a lovely dining room and the staff made you feel comfortable. the food was average and I would have wanted some better reasonable priced and simple local foods instead of what was served. We ate there 2 times and would have difficulty recommending it over a local resturant in the neareast town. ... Generally we thought this was an excellent place with lots of ambiance and well run by friendly and courteous owners. It was a good value and we would recommend it to others. Good location.

When we arrived nobody was in the reception area - the owners were busy in the restaurant. When they realized we had arrived, everything went smoohtly, but it was a bit confusing for us for a few minutes. ... The description includes 'Bed sofa in the kitchen'. It was actually a chair. ... I expected to pay more for the heating. ... Villa Nottola is in a very convenient location. It is not in a remote area. It is adjacent to well-travelled paved roads. It is very easy to start any journey - the roadway is very near. As a consequence of its location, there is some traffic noise most of the time. It did not bother us, but others might prefer a quieter setting. ... I highly recommend Villa Nottola. The accomodations are very good; the people are friendly and accomodating; the location is excellent for travelling to most places in Tuscany. We arrived late due to traffic problems through Florence, but even though they advertised they closed at 7:00, both Louisa and Guiseppe were there to greet us when we finally arrived around 9:00.....and the garden restaurant served us a much-needed and lovely dinner even though we arrived so late! ... We LOVED Villa Nottola and wondered why we hadn't seen it written up in more 'online' info, i.e. trip advisor, etc.....I would highly highly recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in this area. It is so lovely and close to Montepulciano, and within driving distance of so many other popular areas. Luisa and Guiseppe were wonderful hosts.....the room was fabulous, the pool divine after a hot day of sightseeing, and we enjoyed our garden dinners the most of all our dinners in Tuscany! I would definitely stay here again in future and recommend it to anyone. ... No problems with checking out, other than being sad to go! ... Most of the information was provided as far as I can tell. ... As noted above, our hosts were wonderful and helpful and anticipated our needs. The rooms were well-equipped and modern/clean. The pool was lovely and the gardens/grounds kept beautifully. We loved the fact that Montepulciano was only about 5 minutes away, so we could 'pop' into town anytime, and that Villa Nottola was within driving distance of so many other popular areas of Tuscany, i.e. Cortona, Montalcino, Pienza, etc., and is in an area that is so beautiful it looks like pictures you see in a magazine!

Directions to Villa Nottola are a bit confusing. Coming from Rome, they should indicate that you go to Montepulciano rather than towards it. We turned before the town on a road that was marked Aquaviva and got a bit lost. ... Our room at Villa Nottola was very spacious and the bathroom was huge! The room was very clean and comfortable. The orange walls were a bit bright, but the decor in general was tasteful. The breakfast offered a good variety of choices, including breads, cakes, muffins, yogurt, fruit, juices, coffee, etc. We also enjoyed the restaurant for dinner on two evenings.
The owner was very friendly and helpful. A huge breakfast tray was delivered to our room on our last evening because we had to leave at 6:00 AM the next morning to drive back to Rome for our flight home.
We visited in March, so the pool was not open, but the grounds were very attractive.
We highly recommend the Villa Nottola.

... We drove to Villa Nottola by a rental car. Villa Nottola has a large parking lot and we did not feel any parking problems. In general, in Tuscany areas, especially at hotels in the center of old towns, many hotels do not have their own parking lot. So, at Villa Nottola, we did not worry about the parking problems at all. ... We checked out smoothly. ... The restaurant as well as the wine were excellent. Meals at the restaurant were rather tricky in a way that the chef has some fantasy that may harm the good name of the place. You don't serve rabit ( coniglio) for about 50% of the dish when the customer asked for nice lamb ( agnello). There is a difference ! and you can taste it. I had a rabit bone in the first bite I took, so no mistake ! A pity ! We went once but other nights went outside to have a meal. No second chance. ...
