1) We had been to this hotel 7 years earlier and remembered the way there and didnt check directions.

The hotel public rooms & bedroom were spacious, spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated to a high standard. The restaurant provided a varied menu all week,the food was good quality and plentiful and all served to our table with style. We had thoroughly enjoyed our stay 7 year earlier and everything lived up to or surpassed our memories.

The outside paintwork is starting to look shabby, and uncared for, but when you step through the front door everything changes.

A four star hotel, ideally situated for all the well known attractions in Tuscany linked by road and rail (station 10 minutes walk from hotel)that provides a high standard of rooms, service and food.

Porter was very helpful with parking.
Not clear on the website exactly where the hotel is and the online map and directions are terrible. A phrase such as 'Located on Viale Verdi, the Hotel has a yellow coloured facade with pink canopy's and is directly opposite the Excelsior Terme (Spa) and the merry-go-round. Parking however, can be located to the rear of the hotel from Via Cavallotti. This is the first left off Viale Manzoni, found by taking the first right from Viale Verdi (just before the hotel).

Very pleasently appointed and located. The staff are friendly and the place is spotless and clean. The level of service was good and don't worry if you can't speak Italian, as the staff all speak very good English. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with high ceilings and impressive interiors. The bathrooms are nice too; ours had a Jacuzzi.
Montecatini Terme is a nice place to stay too, with good places to eat and drink. It's very well situated for the main sites of Tuscany, such as Florence, Pisa and Lucca and it's pretty easy to drive around the area or to use the excellent trains service that seems to be almost always on time.

Really good - exceptionally polite staff on reception.
Food was excellent in restaurant and very well presented. Room excellent.

Swimming pool looked nice but was quite dirty with a lot of debris in the bottom and several other guests commented that they didnt want to use it. Also the corridor leading to pool was in need of a clean - very dusty/dirty etc.
The only downside as everything else was great.

Decided to check out/pay day earlier to save the rush and knew I was quite happy with everything so didnt mind doing this.

Excellent Restaurant - especially if included in half board.
Enquired about having lunch one day but that was Euros 25 which I thought a little pricey for lunch so didn't partake of that!

Good quality, luxurious, nicely decorated. Friendly, courteous staff - nothing too much trouble for them.

I requested a car to pick me up at Florence Airport and the gentleman was right there for me and very helpful (luggage etc). The reception desk was most kind. Enrico, Franco and Gabriella were very friendly and informative when I asked questions.

wonderful experience at Nizza. Beautiful new room. lovely dining room and I often requested changes to the fixed menu (sauces etc.)w ithout any problem. Desserts were plentiful and delicious. Rooms were spotless with turn down service nightly. In room safe broke and was fixed within hours.

A well located hotel. It is very comfortable and has a very friendly and polite staff. The rooms are spacious and well decorated and the public areas are bright well appointed and comfortable. The food is varied and well presented.
We all enjoyed our stay.

My family and I are used to staying at hotels of high quality and I would like to comment that it has been one of the best hotels we have stayed at. The hotel is really cute, with that kind of Italian romantic decadence only Italian hotels and houses have. We have been treated as ever. My child is just 5 and that's the reason why we always ask for half board, and we made the right decision. Our dinners were delicious. Breakfasts might not be so delicious, but it was worth having peaceful breakfasts at their lovely outside place. It was also the perfect place to have a cold drink in the warm and quiet night, even when live music was being played there. The swimming-pool was, perhaps, the only part of the hotel that was a little bit careless, but nothing to complain. I really recommend the stay at Grand Hotel Nizza et Suisse, and I'm sure we'll go back again.

As I said before, a peaceful and romantic place, specially for those looking for quietness and beauty at the same time.

This was our second stay at the Hotel Nizza Suisse. We recogonised the receptionist from our previous stay, he was so friendly and helpful with always a pleasant greeting and as we loved to try out our little knowledge of Italian was always on hand to correct us. The night receptionist was also very polite and friendly

We loved our rooms on both the 3rd and the 4th floors, overlooking the rear of the Hotel and the swimming pool. It was so quiet at night, really slept well and the bed was so comfortable. The rooms were super clean and all linen changed every second day We adored the food and once again it was wonderful meeting the staff for the second year, the Dining room staff are so well trained and are very professional and so pleasant, we looked forward every evening to our 5 course meal. I think that it is a huge credit to this hotel that the staff are there from year to year. We felt that we were coming home. We will definitly be booking again for next year. It was great value for the money paid and this would also be an attraction the half board for the €70.00/day. This was great value as the evening meal was fabulous and even better than the previous year. We hope that you will hold the rates if possible because it is great value for the money and would be one of the reasons that we hope to return to you. I really hope that the Nizza Suisse will remain open for years to come for we will return again and again. Montecatini is so accessible from Pisa and also it is great as a base for sightseeing to Florence & Lucca. We also love the decor of the hotel and the main lobby is very elegant, the only suggestion I would make is that the rear of the hotel needs to be painted and the swimming pool which I loved needs attention possibly more chlorine or better filtering& cleaning. It is a great asset anad we found it so enjoyable to swim and relax there, but the hotel is looking a little seedy at the back. Otherwise I have nothing but praise for the hotel. We are (my friend Angela Killeen and myself) returning next year around the same time and are hoping for our 2 same rooms 300, and 400. Please take good care of the hotel and mille grazie to all the staff. If they found a pair of blue shoes in my room 300 please keep them for me. A l'anno prossimo arrivederci. Maire Ni Shiochain

would give more details about location in montecatini. and details about arriving by train . i got off at the wrong station i.e i got off at montecatini terme not montecatini centrale. it was difficult to get a taxi from m.t. staion. give directions to hotel from mont, centrale station it is much easier.

The hotel room was immaculate and very spacious with a wonderful view; there were a variety of public seating areas around the reception area in which to relax, read the papers etc, and the staff were very friendly and sollicitous at all times. Wonderful!

Entirely satisfactory with our stay at the hotel. REstaurant service (for dinner) could be more organized. But we are happy with quality of the meal.

We were very pleased overall, only the outside of the hotel could do with a good coat of paint, as first impression was not very good.
