By plane:
The nearest airport you will find to reach the farm is the one at Firenze, placed 60 kilometres from the Agriturismo Natura & Salute. Flights from the rest of Italy and many European cities such as Paris, Munich and Amsterdam arrive here frequently.
By car:
- If you arrive at Firenze, you must take the motorway "Superstrada Firenze-Siena" and exit at Poggibonsi Nord. Drive towards San Gimignano and take your left at Porta San Giovanni or Gate of St. John`s. You will have to follow the Medieval walls of the city till the Porta San Matteo comes into view on your right. Continue in the direction "Certaldo/ Montaione/ Gambassi" but at a junction, follow the sign to the left heading only to "Montaione/ Gambassi". Drive around 2 kilometres and pay attention to a farm with a tower on your right: around 200 metres after this, turn left towards Libbiano. From this point the asphalt road will soon turn into a country road, going up and down small hills. Keep on straight on this track till the turn to the right for Vagli: go on for a hundred metres and then take the road to your right once you reach an abandoned building. You will pass a small bridge, with one of the first fields in Vagli nearby, the Campo della Catena, and then some trees. After some 200 metres the entrance to Vagli comes into view: turn right here and you will see the Agriturismo Natura & Salute.
- If you are coming from the south, for example from the city of Volterra, take the road SS68 towards Colle Val d`Elsa. You will reach a junction, where you must follow the signs for Castelfiorentino, turning to the left. Keep on this track called Cornocchio and turn right at the signs for San Gimignano. Drive on around 4 kilometres and the signs for Libbiano will come into view. Turn right as they indicate and go on for another 4 kilometres. Again, turn right at a small junction and a kilometre later you will see the entrance to Vagli on your right. Afterwards, follow the directions already described.
By train:
At the Firenze airport you can take the interurban buses to Santa Maria Novella central station. Here, many trains depart daily towards Poggibonsi-San Gimignano, the nearest railway stop to Agriturismo Natura & Salute. You may take the direct SMN service, which takes a bit more than an hour to reach Poggibonsi, or make a stop at Empoli (in this case the journey will last around 1 hour 20 minutes). Just check the timetables for the trains available on your arrival. |
