Very generous with the welcome wine! The invitations to a buffet and traditional Tuscan dinner were very kind. It was excellent that the lady spoke good English.

We stayed in a beautiful set of appartments between Florence and Sienna. They were close to a couple of small villages, but far away enough to be quiet and peaceful, set in the middle of wonderful scenery - olive groves and vineyards (they even had their own house wine and olive oil). Our spacious appartment was nice and rustic, yet it had all the modern amenities. Staff were friendly and helped out with all requests. I would have preferred somewhere with fewer children, as the swimming pool got taken over by them and they were rather noisy, but all in all it was a excellent choice, and I've never been anywhere quite like it before. I would recommend it, and in fact I'd certainly go back myself!

Verry good. Fattoria Montignana are verry nice appartments. And verry Quite. A great advance is: Firenze is only 20 km. We go there by bus from Mercatale. We have tell friends and family to go there.

Comfortable place to stay and good location for day trips in the Chianti region. Easy trip to Mercatale for provisions. Good value. Our third visit and not our last.

There were no signs indicating the check in location. We wandered around the property until someone asked us what we were doing.
The owners of the property were never present. The manager/maid checked us in, let us in the room and left.

The facility was extremely sparse. There was not even sugar in the apartment.

It was upon check out that we learned of a bell that rang the maids quarters. Because it took so long to find someone to check out we almost missed our train.

Be prepared to supply ALL food including coffee, sugar, and oil. There is nothing provided.

We were expecting a farm stay, but never got a chance to know about the vineyard surrounding the property.

In the voucher it said we would have an 'aperitivo di benvenuto' as well as a bottle of wine and we received neither.
As for point 2, there was no one waiting for us, but there was a telephone number to call. Unfortunately not everyone has a cell phone!

We felt the checkout at 10am was quite early. Most establishments allow checkout at 12pm. We didn't get to utilize the swimming pool on Sunday due to the early checkout.
