By car
From the north coming from Chiasso or Brennero on the motorway A1, take the exit Firenze-Certosa . Follow the indications to Siena-Poggibonsi and enter on a dual carriageway. Follow the sign to Siena and exit at Poggibonsi Nord , then to San Gimignano . Cross the town of San Gimignano in direction of Certaldo , proceed for 1.5 km and at a roundabout turn left following the indications to Gambassi . Proceed along this road and at the Poggetto di Montese signpost turn left and proceed for 200 metres. You will find the house on the left hand side of the road.
From the south, take the motorway A1 Roma-Milano towards the north and exit at Valdichiana , then follow the signs to Siena . At Siena take the dual carriageway in direction of Firenze . Exit at Poggibonsi Nord and proceed towards San Gimignano . From there follow the indications above.
By train
From Florence S.M.N. train station take the train to Siena and get off at Poggibonsi.
From Pisa train station take a train to Siena, change at Empoli station and get off at Poggibonsi.
From Siena train station take a train to Florence and get off at Poggibonsi.
At Poggibonsi you can take a bus to San Gimignano. The bus stop is just in front of the station. Out of the station you can also take a taxi.
By airplane
From Pisa Airport follow the blue sign (not green) indicating SGC Firenze-Pisa-Livorno to Firenze. Go straight on the freeway and exit at Empoli Ovest , then take the SS 429 to Certaldo and proceed to San Gimignano. From there follow the indications above by car.
From Florence Airport follow the indications to A1-A11 and exit at Bologna/Roma on the A1 in direction of Rome. Exit at Firenze-Certosa and follow the indications to Siena-Poggibonsi and you will enter on a dual carriageway. Follow the sign to Siena and exit at Poggibonsi Nord proceeding to San Gimignano. | | |
