By car
From the A1 highway, take the Firenze Certosa Exit. Go straight and at the roundabout and follow the signs towards Greve in Chianti along the SS222-Chiantigiana road. Go straight for about 18.6 miles/30 km until Panzano in Chianti and turn right at the sign to Mercatale . Continue straight for another 2.5 km/4 km and then turn right at the sign to Montegonzi . Follow the signs to Montegonzi for about 1.2 miles/2 km until you reach the Castello di Montegonzi. The road is not asphalted and is not suitable for sports cars. All other cars are fine, including Smart cars. | | |
