Travellers Reviews

We will be recommending Molino di Foci to our friends who will be travelling to Tuscany next year. The accomodations, staff, service and food were excellent. The pool, garden area, breakfast terrace and villa itself are beautiful and well maintained. This historic old mill (molino) was restored in 2001. Very close to San Gimignano for an evening meal, gelato or stroll through this historical old town. Our hosts Heidi and Luca were wonderful, spoke good English (better than my Italian) and also offer an incredible evening dinner 3 nights a week for 20 euro/person. This was our first trip to Italy taking in Cinque Terre, Tuscany and the Amalfi Coast. Our time in Tuscany and Molino di Foci was by far the most enjoyable of our 2 week trip. We did have a rental car which comes in handy for day trips from this countryside villa. Would not hesitate to return here if we ever travel back to Italy.

Heidi greeted us -was wonderfully friendly. ... Room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Really enjoyed our breakfasts. The gardens and dining area inside and outside were so lovely. only disappointment was having dinner cancelled as not enough people were able to attend - did not get notice until we showed up at 7:30 pm - stayed around town all day and would have changed plans had we known in the morning. Ended up not eating till 2100 that night as got lost finding another restaurant late at night. Apology was given but I had heard from a friend how awesome the dinner was so was disappointed. I quess I should have asked in the morning if it was a definite cancellation for the night thought it was a maybe. Wish they had put a sign on our door as we came back early to shower and change - guess I should have cheked in with them. I would reccomend this place to friends for sure. ... Very quick and smooth with lucca and he helped us with a map of Florence and told us the route which we should take ... Definitely

A wonderful place to spend your time relaxing or as a base for exploring tuscany. The staff is very helpful and speak numerous languages. Great food, coffee and wine is available anytime. Thank you for a wonderful vacation. ... Everything is detailed in a check out printout so you can keep track of everything you ordered, whether it be phone calls, espresso or vine. ... A great place stay.

The only little problem we had was that the satellite tv only had one channel in English (CNN News) which our children were a little bit disappointed about! ... A very pretty Bed & Breakfast with a most interesting history. Very convenient location close to San Gimignano, and with both Florence and Siena an easy drive away.
