Spectacular location at the foot of Cortona and excellent for day trips to Umbria or the rest of Tuscany...The management is superb, the restaurant is superb and we recommend you purchase the breakfasts...they are fantastically prepared! I'm not certain you can find a better location or more cordial an atmosphere...the grounds are beautiful...as was the accommodation. Needless to say we would HIGHLY recommend!!!

The people at Il Melone were absolutely the most gracious hosts! Upon arrival, we were very tired after our long flight and they were kind enough to bring us dinner and wine to our room (they don't have room service)! They went above and beyond. Upon departure we were leaving very early in the morning as we had a long drive back to Florence and had an early flight, they offered to make us an early breakfast. Everyone was extremely polite and the grounds were immaculate and most beautiful. We will likely book a villa on their property for this coming Summer.

Ideal location! The property is absolutely gorgeous! Perfectly located in town near groceries and pharmacies, etc. The gorgeous medieval town of Cortona can be seen atop a mountain from the Il Melone property and is very easy to get to. We were perfectly located for about an hours drive to beautiful Chianti and Siena. It was perfect.
