Nearby Facilities

Nearby are the thermal spas of Saturnia, the Uccellina Park natural reserve and the ancient cities of Pitigliano and Sovana. Saturnia is truly an oasis of wellbeing and peace and as ancient legend goes, Saturnia lies upon the ruins of Italy's most ancient city, so, between baths, a visit to the ancient town and its interesting Roman ruins is recommended. The warm and foaming waters of Saturnia's Baths naturally spring from the rocks at a temperature of about 37°C. The are highly recommended to those who have breathing difficulties, arthritis and aching muscles, but they are also effective as a beauty and relax therapy. Nature lovers can find close by one of Maremma's highlights; the extraordinary Uccellina Park, where visitors can enter a primeval territory rich of paths, wildlife, beaches and moors. The park is also rich with many varieties of trees and plants, and it is populated by wild animals. For who cares to step back even further in history, the Etruscan town of Pitigliano stands on a rock surrounded by steep cliffs. The main aqueduct and the defence system designed by Antonio da Sangallo are not to be missed. The night view of the city, lit by a special network of spotlights, is unforgettable.
