There are maps, brochures and travel books available in the reception room for guests to plan their daily excursions. We do our best to help with advice on places to visit ,train timetables, scenic routes to take and parking advise. We also recommend local places to eat and book tables. There is a nice little trattoria nearby that is very popular with local Italian families and serves typical l dishes in simple surroundings.

Huge choice of starters and delicious Pasta's.(particually good is the "Gnocchi alla Valdostana" cheese from the Alps). A nice family atmosphere, very reasonable and busy in the summer. There is a kitchen leading off from the breakfast room where guests are welcome to leave food and drink in the fridge, make themselves a cup of tea or use the microwave. Guests are welcome to eat on the terrace or breakfast room if they wish. Plates, glasses and cutlery are provided. Smoking only in garden.

There is a private swimming pool 5 minutes away by car. Also in the local village there is a tennis and golf club. In front of the station (4km) there is an Internet cafe and in the centre of Empoli a laudrette (both open until very late). During the month of July the shops in Empoli are open two evenings a week until midnight. There is a wonderful atmosphere with music and performance art. here is an endless list of things to see and places to visit, from the Art Cities such as Florence to the July Jazz festival in Pistoia (one hour away).
Here are just a few:
Local towns and cities to visit:

From the station it is a five minute walk to the Duomo and Ponte Vecchio.
VINCI - 15 Km - :Only fifteen minutes by car, is the beautiful little town of Vinci, birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci, the famous genius. The Vinci museum displays innumerable working examples of his inventions. Good fun for families.
