As in a fairy tale, Meleto Castle appears in the enchanting Chianti landscape, at the end of a path lined with cypresses trees and laurel bushes, among fields and vineyards kissed by the sun. A magnificent proof of the history and the industrious presence of man, that now more than ever invites one to plunge into the quiet of the country to relish the tastes and scents - the wine, the smell of cellars and oil-mills, the wood of furniture, the wheat, the thousands of essences of the meadows and fields forgetting time which, beyond the hills, flows at its frantic pace. |
Meleto welcomes and enfolds the visitor, the tourist, the lover of nature as an oasis. A parallel dimension to experience, with its rhythms scanned by habits and customs, by big and small millenary rites, which still is the source of a rich range of products, all of excellent quality, fruit of a search that combines modern technologies and old, deep-rooted traditions. |
Meleto Castle is in the heart of Chianti, a beautiful area of the Tuscan countryside. It is no longer just for the Tuscany Nobility - it is also available to you. Meleto Castle was originally a Florentine fortification during the Guelf and Ghibellini wars. |

This fortress belonged to the noble family Ricasoli, as did Brolio Castle. Thirty years ago the Ricasoli family sold Meleto Castle and the surrounding estate, which covered around 1,100 hectares. |
