As a part of our agreement Mr. Bertini met us at the airport and made 2 trips to the villa with our luggage and 6 passengers. He was most accomodating and extremely polite.

We had some difficulty getting a taxi at the airport to take us to Lastra a Signa, and in the end had to take 2 taxi's (there were 4 people) and they had to stop and ask directions at a shop

typically tuscan. Good location, away from the centre of Florence, but easy access to anywhere we wanted to go. Good neibourhood, excellant little market and good resaurants within walking distance.

We enjoyed ourselves immensely. The Villa was clean, well taken care of and convenient to Florence. The village was extremely quiet. We also enjoyed the Edy Piu restaurant which was 10 steps from the front door. All in all, a wonderful stay.

The close proximity to the Edy Piu restaurant. More definately needs to be said about the gorgeous views. 5-10 minutes away from large supermarket. A car is a must. Extremely atmospheric and rustic, but with all amenities. Absolutely quiet, very private. Parking is a little problematic. The villa can accommodate 6-8 people.

I've actually sent the web site to a number of people who've expressed an interest in visiting Tuscany. This seems to be the best way to describe it.

Mr. Bertini picked us up at the airport and transported us directly to the Villa. This was more than we expected and we were very impressed.

There are no directions on the site, and probably they wouldn't help. As it was arranged, the owner met us at the airport, and even waited for us a long time because our flight was delayed.

The house is tastefully decorated and pretty comfortable. And it's nice to get into jacuzzi after climbing up that hill from the bus stop (and July was HOT). Air conditioning in one of bedrooms could be better, but again, it was exceptionally hot. There's a little food store nearby (the owners don't speak English), and a pleasant restaurant even closer. We also enjoyed staying outside of the tourist area.

To the answer about grocery stores you may add that there's a little store very close. And to the answer about a restaurant on the property you may add that there's one pretty much next door.
