The people of the hotel were very nice and, togethe with charming looks of the hotel and surroundings, made our stay unforgettable. The room was very nice and the restaurant where we had dinner twice was good (and we are very critical restaurant goers). It is one of the fine places to stay in Europe we have discovered over the years we would love to come back to.

We had a very pleasant stay at Locanda del Castello. It is beautifully situated and newly renovated. There were, at the time, very few guests at the Locanda, so we had excellent service from the management and staff. We can also recommend future guests to have a delicious dinner in the restaurant.

A newly and very carefully renovated hotel in the charming old part of the village. The rooms have 'an atmosphere' and nice views from the windows. Very friendly and serviceminded staff and an a good restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. An excellent choice if you want to stay south of Siena but outside the big tourist centres like Montepulciano and Montalcino.

While breakfast was to be served from 8-10 they knew we needed to check out by 6:30 and had breakfast for us at 6:00. This was a nice personal touch that we did not get at other places we checked out of early.

The Hotel is family run and consequently very personal and inviting. The staff were friendly but not overbearing. They were also extremely thoughtful (providing us with water for our journey onwards the next day) and generous (large and extra helpings of food at dinner in the restaurant the night we were there)

The directions could use a tune-up with more details of surrounding towns along the way. It wasn't the fault of their directions We missed our turn and really got lost. But more details would have helped.

Absolutely charming place, bright, and newly renovated -- the owners and staff are fantastic people who embraced us like member of their family. We loved it and would go back.

We were met at the train station to take us to the hotel, so directions were not needed.

We had planned on using taxi for local transportation. We discovered that taxi service was not always available and was quite expensive.
