The restaurant "La Locanda del Castello" is situated in the oldest and the lower part of the building just few steps away from the walls surrounding the Castle where once the once the old press used to transform the green olives in olive oil. With its vault ceilings, the lighting and elegant furnishing the restaurant offers its guests the flavour of old Tuscan recipes. Among the specialties stands the local white truffle, pecorino cheese and Etruscan dishes.

The territory of San Giovanni d'Asso, natural bridge between the Crete Senesi and the Val d' Orcia, is a rare example of the graceful union between nature and man's touch. The Show has become a special parade of the best food products of Siena: the pecorino of the Crete Senesi, the salted meats old Siena territory, the honey, the saffron, the celebrate extra virgin olive oil and the new wine qualification DOC ORCIA, which has further enriched the already exceptional quality of Siena wines.
