 The new 4 stars Hotel La Locanda is situated in the historical center of Volterra, close to the medieval gate "Porta Fiorentina" and the Roman Theatre (I B.C.). The Hotel's façade is a little museum at open sky with its 5 authentic Etruscan urns from Hellenistic age, set there according to the will of the former owner, Anton Filippo Giacchi, historian and lover of the Etruscan civilization. |
 The Hotel, originally an ancient convent, has been carefully renovated in 2002 respecting the historical structure, while at the same time allowing for all the modern amenities and conforts of a top hotel. All rooms have private bathroom. The elegant suite offers a living area with antique furniture and a bathroom with hydromassage shower and sauna. |
