 Lischeto Farmhouse owned by Giovanni Cannas has a special location and offers to its guests a beautiful view on the typical "balze" and
"calanchi" (natural phenomenon of erosion of very ancient origins) and a panoramic view over a landscape of gently rolling hills and the historical hill top town of Volterra which is just 5 km away. |
 Born in 1963, the farmhouse was at the beginning an agricultural centre, it lays on 250 hectares of ground, partially cultivated with cereals and partially dedicated to pastures, the production of a special quality milk is assured, we produce pecorino cheese and a large variety of products derivates. |
 In 1990 the farmhouse became leader in the production of biological cheese. We produce also a biological olive oil according to a healthy principles. Furthermore the azienda offers a swimming pool, mountain bikes, country walks, horse riding (5 km away) and guided visits. |
The farm also provides good Tuscan cuisine and you can taste all the farm products in the spacious, rustic dining hall. The organic cheese, honey and olive oil are also sold on the property. |
Guests are welcome to visit the farm, the milking of the more than 1000 sheeps and the making of the cheese. The farm receives guests all year round. |
