 Linari is a medieval monastery located in the wonderful Montagnola area 8 km southwest of Siena. Built in the llth century, it was converted to a grand country 500 years later by renowned Sienese architect Baldassarre Peruzzi. |
 The present owner has transformed the villa into a Residence with 20 self-catering apartments of varying sizes. San Lorenzo a Linari is well equipped with all the comforts of a modern and luxury hotel; however the ancient medieval atmosphere is kept alive through the cloister, the open galleries, the temple, the statues and the monastery's old walls. In 2004 Linari opened the Beauty and Wellness Centre in the ancient cellars of the villa. The beautifully remodeled space includes a sauna, jacuzzi, hamman, balneothalasso and a chromotheraputic shower. |
 Also offered are a variety of beauty treatments including massage, facials, manicures and yoga. In the Centre, we have dedicated a comfortable old room where guests can gather, enjoy a drink or simply relax. Linari is in a perfect situation for today's travellers, on the doorstep of Siena, in glorious countryside, yet within easy reach of all the historic cities of Tuscany. The nearest village of San Rocco a Pilli, five minutes drive away, is well supplied with a supermarket and shops. |
