 Villa Le Querciolaie is an historic residence built in the Reinassance style and dating back to the XX century. At the entrance to the "Querciolaie Estate" there's a sign "Rolando Stefanacci-Sculptor", a reproduction of some of his work and the words "alchemy with nature". A dualism that is congenial to the artist. The alchemic science that Stefanacci has studied in depth for long years and now applies to the environment of the large park that surrounds the Villa and the farmhouses of the estate and where he found the tranquillity for his "working pauses". |
 Villa Le Querciolaie is the "buen retiro" of the artist and here, in the heart of the secret Tuscany near to the Etruscan sea, he created his open air museum and his art town. The park is endowed with century-old oaks, Mediterranean thickets and flowers of all varietes that arise from the soil that has given him the yellowish rose coloured stone, the travertine, from which many of his sculptures are created and that he used to build the original country houses admist the greenery. Everything here is in armony with nature and art. |
