Travellers Reviews

LE Querce was in excellent condition and extremely clean. ... It is not possible to find a meal that is of higher quality and at such a reasonable price, than the meals made fresh at Le Querce. Fabrizio is truely an amazing chef. ... Le Querce is a magical place tucked into the Tuscan hills about 6 miles from the town of Massarosa. The location is hard to find since the small town of Corsanico is not on any map, but follow signs for Mountain Meto and you will find Le Querce.
Of all the places I have travelled, this was the most wonderful experience. Unbelieveable views of the coastline including Piza, the best food I have ever tasted and a wonderful atmosphere created by the owner, Fabrizio. He was a joy to talk to and did everything to make our stay special. I absolutely will be returning to Le Querce again to enjoy a little taste of paradise in the mountains.

Missed the turnoff from the highway, but eventually found our way. Not so easy to locate when it starts to get dark. ... Loved this place, the owner and the staff. We felt quite at home. ... I know that photographs can't possibly do justice to the panoramic vistas and the overall feeling of serenity. Since the road to the property is tricky after dark, one could emphasize the good food. Driving down the mountain for dinner is only for the brave. ... Heaven, with a view. A bit of paradise far above the hustle and noise of the autoroute and the coastal towns. The owner shared his crop of freshly squeezed olive oil with us. Too bad it was too cool (in October) to use the pretty pool nearby. Recommended to those in search of a dose of serenity.

I hope we are talking about the same place as we stayed at Le Querce in Corsicano.
Anyways, it was a beautiful place, once we found it. I think detailed directions are needed to get there as the town in situtated on the mountain. With higway numbers as well as a map of the area would have made it much easier to find.
Fabrissio, the owner, was totally charming as was his helper Gian Carlo. Their hospitality was very warm. We ate there every night as once you get up the mountain, you really don't feel like leaving the place and the food was amazing anyways and very cheap too. It only costs us 20 euros each for a full meal.
If ever we are in that area again, we will definetaly stay there and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.
Regards,
Patricia Guay
n.b. the only thing is I found our room very small, but the view was to die for, so in the end it did not really matter. ... see above regarding the directions portion of my comments.
The map really does not indicate where they are situated.
You really need a map showing the highways, where to get off and from the exit, how to get up the mountain. Directions and picture.

pleasant. ... A lovely place very homely. Our host Fabricio was very nice and cooked wonderful meals. The propterty was very clean and comfortable. The view was breathtaking! ... Fabricio waved us out! ... The food is lovely. The view is beautiful. Very homely.
... Go there! It was such a relaxing atmosfere. The swimming pool and Gym were better than we had expected. The food was outstanding, very homely, self grown vegetables. Everything was fresh. Fabricio baked a cake daily. It was easy to find once found and it was easy to go to Pisa and Florence and Lucca.

There was no receptionist - the owner met us and showed us round. ... The property and location exceeded all expectations! ... We were allowed to keep the room up until 7pm on our departure day at no additonal cost and they prepared the evening meal for us 2 hours ealrier than their usual meal time so that we could eat before we left for the airport. ... It is up a very, very steep hill, so unless you are a confident driver this could be a problem. A taxi to the nearest resort of Viareggio is approx Ģ25-30. ... Small and very friendly with amazing views and lovely typical Tuscan food. The pool and surrounding area is very clean and luxurious. The staff are so friendly that it was like being one of the family.

A beautiful place with friendly and helpful owners. We liked the intimate atmosphere, the view on the lake and the sea. The landscape is great and ideal for bike trips. Also, the hotel is in perfect starting position for cultural excursions. The rooms are quite and in tuscany style but could have been a little bit more spacious. It was great that we could decide very spontaneously whether to eat in the hotel or not in the evenings. The meals were delicious!

Though I was a little bit confused about driving on the spinning road to the accomodation, Mr Chiuzi was very, very kind when we arrived. ... The room with the view was fantastic, Mr Chiuzi was very polite and helpful. The chef was very kind also and I can offer the meal for everyone who visit Tuscany. ... Everything was in order. ... They should pay the attention to the spinning road. They should have stated the meal because it is really fantastic. ... If you would like to spend your holiday close to Florence in a beautiful, friendly place with fantastic view and delicious old tuscan kitchen, you have to go there.

The place was very difficult to find, as the village where it was located in did not exist on any of the 2 maps that we had. There was also no detailed description on the website as to how to get to the B&B after having got off the Motorway. ... The rooms were excellent, and the view from the view and the breakfast terrace was faboulous. The breakfast and evening meal served there was also first class! Thanks for an excellent stay - and make sure you improve the directions as we nearly gave up finding the place and we were very close to check in at Holiday Inn. ... Excellent place - Good rooms, excellent view and fabolous food. I would come back there any time.

room was a bit loud, because directly located next to the stairway. We could hear people coming back home during the night. Smell from kitchen came in to the room from time to time, as room was located above the kitchen (but no noise from the kitchen!)
We didnīt know that room 211, which we asked for and where we finally stayed in, was next to the stairway (because it was a recommendation of friends), we never would have chosen this room otherwise. ... pictures should be updated: of the pool (plastic chairs have been changed against wonderful wooden chairs and sunshades, pool now has a whirl-pool and a small water fall)
of the terrasse (the new gazebos look more attractive then the current photos).
The gym isnīt mentioned at all under 'Facilities' in the web!
Show more pictures of the beautiful view over the coast (which is wonderful on clear days!). ... A wonderful, quite and little oase in the heart of Tuscany with breath-taking view over the thyrrenian coast. Ideal for romatic stays (like honeymoon) and relaxing moments! Try the delicious and homemade dinners served by 'il patron' himself.

A real route description was missing. Only a very undetailed picture of the village was included on the internet page. ... The bathroom was very small, with a shower cabine that you had to fold in & out.
Secondly on the terras we missed out on some relaxing seats and couches to enjoy reading a book or a good wine in the evening.
However the positioning as Bed & Breakfast was underselling themselves. It was a great pension with nice lunch and dinner served upon request.
And the swimming pool was simply great! ... A typical Tuscan location: beautiful and quiet. With nice cooking and a great swimming pool.
