An excellent hotel.
We arrived late due to bad weather and it we both appreciateed the warm friednly welcome.
This is a fantastic unique hotel and I would certainly want to return one day.

All of the staff were very friendly and extremly helpful at all times.
Not sure that the journey time to Florence are correct - I believe the web site states 40 mins - I would say it was longer.

Due to the unique nature of the building which is one of its best assets there are a lot of steps, wheelchair access could be a problem.

We were greeted personally by Max with a wonderful warm welcome. He helped us with our luggage, gave us a tour, and fussed over arranging to accomodate us with lunch.
We had no difficulty finding Castello Leonina.

We can not rave enough about our visit to Leonina. In all of our travels we have never encountered a more attentive wonderful staff. Max, Fausto, Francesco and Sempath were wonderful. We were given wonderful touring advice, maps, snacks when we missed lunch, and great friendship. As far as Castello Leonina's facility- it was better than we ever dreamed. Our stay there was like living in a postcard. The rooms, the view, the serenity of the countryside, and the character of Leonina, along with the staff, gave us a first hand view of the heart and soul of Tuscany. Even though the pool facilities and restaurant were not ready- which we had planned on using- we were never disappointed because everything else was perfect. We could have never hoped for a more perfect place- the serenity was a welcome relief after the bustle of Rome. Once the entire facility is ready- there will be absolutely nothing missing here. In closing- we can't wait to return- and will be recommending to all of our friends. Castello Leonina was a dream come true. Thank you all. Linda and Steve Poulemanos

The bathrooms were almost spa like. Elegant with a gorgeous view over the Tuscan countryside.

Living in a Tuscan postcard. The rooms, the view, the sunlight in your Tuscan style windows in the morning, the location. Leonina was perfect in all aspects- rooms very elegant, surroundings picture perfect.

the food, we stayed for dinner because it was raining and we couldn't go anywere else, but we found out that was a dinner service until we got to the hotel and is delicious, I guess you should advertise also the restaurante.

The explanations to find Castello by car are not very clear on the website because the adress is in Asciano but the Castello is located in the aera of Taverne d'Arbia. You could improve it !

The manager, Fabiola was fantastic. She made our stay terrific. We stayed in a number of places on this trip to Italy and this was by far the best. Can't say enough.

Overall, I was extremely disappointed by the staff. Though all were unfailingly polite, they were ill-equipped for their jobs. I would estimate that 99 percent of the guests at the property wish to visit Siena, a 10-minute drive away. Yet no one on the staff could give me helpful driving directions, or tips on where to park--vital, since cars are not allowed in or near the piazza. I had to rely on information from another guest who happened to be at the conceirge desk as I was seeking help. Similarly, the staff was unable to give driving directions to Hwy. 222, known as the Chianti Highway--another common destination of hotel guests. Finally, no one on the dinner staff spoke English (as they did at every other 4-star hotel in Italy at which we stayed), making communication frustrating and difficult. My advice: Hire a bilingual staff familiar with the region. The staff's inadequecies spoiled what otherwise would have been a wonderful stay. Sadly, I would not recommend Castello di Leonina Relais to others.

The day spa, which was mentioned on the web description, was under construction and not available. The staff was wonderful and the room (Torre) was delightful. your website was very helpful and i have already recommended it to many people.

The hotel seemed to be new. This made a very clean and beautiful, but also some what unexperienced to the staff.
The hotel did not cater for someone wanting to stay in the hotel (no bar, etc). It was almost expected that people go out all day.
The pool was about 750 mtrs outside the premisses, which was too far away.

Fantastic hill side Castle / Hotel, with excellent views from the restaurent and great rooms (private and good atmosphere). If you like t a swimming pool, do NOT go to this place.
