 The hotel "Le Capanne" is born from the restoration of a farm house belonging to the Tenuta di Frassineto.
The oldest part of the house dates back to the end of the XVI century and it shows its age in the part of the building that houses the old brick oven; the main and central part of the building instead was built at the end of the year '700 during the most important agricultural legislation, wanted by the family of the Grandukes Lorena, that definitely cleared the Val di Chiana. |
 In the central facade, we can still see some of the peculiarities of the traditional country houses wanted and ideated by the Granduke Pietro Leopoldo di Lorena, and therefore called "Leopoldine".
The house was not inhabited since 1974 and therefore almost falling apat until when, about two years ago, the present owner fell in love with it and bought it. He completely restored it maintaining the original structure also using the old materials that could be saved_bringing it back to life with the charm of the old times but with the most modern comforts. |
 And so today, the Hotel Le Capanne is a small country hotel that offers 17 different rooms and apartments. All rooms features Internet access, safety box, complimentary mini bar, personalized heating/AC system and satellite TV.
In the common rooms at the ground and first level guests have at their disposal two large living rooms with fireplaces, a billiard table at the bar, a little library and TV room and and internet point with a 24 hours free access. |
