By Boats
The island is reachable by Ferry boats. The nearest port is in Porto Azzurro but we suggest to arrive in Portoferraio as there are more Ferri boats coming in from Piombino during the day (normally, one every 30 minutes). From Portoferraio to here there is a 15-minutes car drive in the relaxing atmosphere of the countryside. There is a small airport in the island and at the moment of the reservation we will illustrate to you the best way to reserve a flight (from Italy) to reach us.
By Car
From West - North/West: Highway in direction: Genova - Livorno, further in direction Grosseto, a few miles before Grosseto exit at Venturina -Isola d'Elba. In Piombino take the Ferry boat to Elba. From the port follow these indications: follow the road sign "tutte le direzioni" ("all directions") and drive through the 4-lanes street keeping the left; turn left at the exit Porto Azzurro, drive through the tree-lined road (San Giovanni) and go straight on for 10 Km; after driving through the only straight stretch which you will find (and after the petrol pumps "IP2 and "Agip") you will find a fork on your right: take the road to the right, Capoliveri direction; after 200 m. there is a second fork: take the road to the left, Naregno direction. Following this street you will arrive directly at Naregno's beach. Drive along the promenade until you will find a street on the right which arrives to the Hotel-Residence Le Acacie.
From North: Highway in direction: Milano - Parma - La Spezia - Livorno, further in direction Grosseto, a few miles before Grosseto exit at Venturina -Isola d'Elba. In Piombino take the Ferry boat to Elba and from the port follow the above indications.
From North/East: Highway in direction Trento - Verona - Modena - Bologna - Firenze - Pisa - Livorno - further in direction Grosseto, a few miles before Grosseto exit at Venturina -Isola d'Elba. In Piombino take the Ferry boat to Elba and from the port follow the above indications .
From East: Highway in direction Venezia - Ferrara - Bologna - Firenze - Pisa - Livorno, further in direction Grosseto, a few miles before Grosseto exit at Venturina -Isola d'Elba. In Piombino take the Ferry boat to Elba and from the port follow the above indications.
By Train
Trains go in direction Livorno - Rome. The stop is Campiglia Marittima. From Campiglia there are local trains to Piombino Marittima (about 20 minutes trip). The station in Piombino Marittima is close to the Ferry port from where you can take the Ferry boat to Island of Elba. Then follow the the above indications.
By Airplane
During the summer Elba is connected by many flights by Italian and foreign companies from the following airports: Milano, Pisa, Zürich, Bern, Altenrhein. The airport is located in La Pila, at 25 km from our hotel. To reach us you can take a taxi or rent a car. |
