We were greated personally by the owner. He showed us around the apartment and gave instructions on how the lights, laundry, windows, and all the appliances in the kitchen worked. There was a botttle of wine, a package of cookies and some chocolates with a gift card welcoming us. We couldn't have felt more cared for. It was wonderful welcome!

Our host drove from his home to our apartment (10 km0 to deliver a phone message from our son. This was so kind of him.
The farmhouse (apartment) was fantastic! It was roomy and spotless and very comfortable. The location was spectacular.
It was much more than we expected.

We paid ahead of time and just left the key where it had been suggested. It was very simple. We hated to leave!

The view from Il Vecchio is breathtaking. I loved to look out the kitchen window while preparing breakfast and dinner.

Il Lazzaretto is located in a beautiful, peaceful location. The farmhouse was very nice and had a fully equipped kitchen, two comfortable bedrooms with very nice ensuites. There was also a living room and a dining area. You also have access to a washer and dryer.
If cooking and cleaning aren't what you want on a holiday, there are wonderful restuarants just a short distance away in San Gimignano. The walk is very pleasant.
Sightseeing to the surrounding villages towns and cities is very easy by bus, or car.
If you feel like just loafing and lying in the sun, there is a great area to go and sit and enjoy the view and just relax.

Easy access to major towns in the area, Volterra, Siena and Firenze. San Gimignano is a delightful town with many good eating places.

Very flexible-we were asked to phone when we got to within 30 minutes drive of the apartment and the owner's brother arrived with the keys as we pulled up outside-the owners speak some English-and we spoke no Italian- but we understood each other fine

The living room is small and dark but perfectly OK-might be a little too cosy on a rainy evening-we were blessed with good weather at the end of October and sat outside til midnight each night

The road surface leading to the apartment from the main road is very rough and needs repair-this was the only gripe we had .
You would not want to walk back from town at night as the road is dark but the place feels very safe.My 73 year old mother walked into town on a number of occasions but she is very spritely!

A bargain apartment in a beautiful location.I left behind an item and the family who own the property went to a lot of trouble to return it.Charming people and magical place

The website does not do it justice. It is extremely charming. We wished we would have been able to take advantage of the place more but were only there for one night.

Great location: 10 minute walk to town and nearest grocery store. Very pleasant accomodation - spacious rooms and very clean. Views of nearby hills of vineyards and olive trees. With Casa Vecchia unit you get to use an outdoor area with sun umbrellas and wooden deck chairs. Highly recommendtaying here.

We were informed that there were 4 beds in our two bedroom apt. which would have been fine since we were four ladies not desiring to sleep together. But as it turned out,they meant 4 'places to sleep', in two matrimonial beds! We managed to make it work.

The unit we had could have a better place to enjoy the evenings together.More chairs in dining/living room but there wasn'nt enough space for that,I guess. Alessio and Andrea were great. We asked for more toilet paper they delivered alot in ten minutes flat. We asked for an iron and instantly they appeared with an iron and ironing board.And they also helped us twice with the heating.(which was our missunderstanding) Thank you Guys!!!

We would recommend this place to anyone that needs a place near San Gimingnano.

There was construction going on at the neighboring property, which was very close. That was loud and unsightly, but it was not the fault of the owner. The workers were courteous and didn't work when we wanted to sleep.

It was a nice, homey apartment, with beautiful views of Tuscany. Well-located for touring Tuscany.

We arrived earlier than expected and telephoned the owner. He arrived very promptly and was very courteous.
There was no receptionist, since it was an apartment that we rented from the owner.

The check-out time was a bit early - 10:00am. And, the cleaning ladies were there a half hour earlier, waiting for us to leave, so we felt rushed. A later checkout would make this place perfect - 11 am would be great.

All the information is there, but you should stress a little bit more that this would be the ideal central location for a Tuscan vacation - it so perfectly located

We loved it and would receommend it as a wonderful place to stay to be used as a home base for a Tuscan vacation. The views are gorgeous, the apartment is very compfortable and charming and all of Tuscanby is within an hour or two.
