They tended to us immediately and showed us around the apartment. Very happy.

La Valle was actually better than we expected. You could tell that the owners really enjoyed what they did, obviously they make money from it but you could see that they loved it. The father was working very hard on the property - tending to the vegetables and water them and planting new seedlings and the sons were constantly gardening and generally upkeeping the property to a very high standard.

No fuss - very easy - they didn't even check the apartment to see whether anything was missing. They trusted you.

Dishwasher wasn't included and should be, as this was very beneficial.
There wasn't a corkscrew in the property and I feel there should have been one as one got a free bottle of wine upon arrival.

Great value for money - everyone was very friendly - a huge bonus that one could pick fresh fruit and vegetables whenever you wanted. Great pool area.

Question 1: it wasn't so much that the directions on the net weren't great, but that the local sign boarding was misleading.
Question 2: I had e-mailed to say we were to be later than 7.00pm. The reception was closest but the key was in the door and a welcome note pinned.

A centrally situated accommodation in the above average category. Ideal for families wishing to conduct a drive/see holiday.
Would strongly recommend the accommodation wholeheartedly.

Poor shower in bathroom upstairs due to very low water pressure.
Should change towels at least every second day.

Note about #2: Although there wasn't anybody to welcome us in person, I was pleased with how it was handled. I reached someone by phone who explained where the key would be, and upon looking it was there along with a personalized note on the door. We had arrived just at the end of the expected arrival time.

It would have been helpful to have some specific instructions left in the apartment for starting the fire (best to start the fire with the aeration vent fully open). It took us many tries and a couple nights to figure it out.
In some places the floors were cool. A pair (or a few pairs) of slippers provided would have been a nice touch.

I was pleasantly surprised to find out about the grocery delivery service provided when ordering items one day in advance. It was nice to have fresh bread for breakfast every morning!

Bigger than our own 2-bedroom apartment in Brussels! Nice view, clean, friendly staff, grocery service available, quiet.

They had posted lovely welcome signs on the doors of the units and welcomed us with a bottle of their estate wine.

It was very quiet and peaceful. A lovely rural setting but very close to amenities. We had a few problems with water pressure but that is to be expected in a building that age.

We arrived after the office was closed. Simone, the owner, had left us a welcome note on our cottage door with instructions and a bottle of wine.

The setting was beautiful, the location central to all--San Gimignano, Florence, Siena. The house was really clean and spacious and the private outdoor space was lovely with ripe pomegranets (sp?) hanging off the trees and olive trees surrounding our villa. We stayed in the Leonardo which is a stand-alone villa with two floors and two bathrooms. We highly recommend La Valle!

We arrived very late. The owners had helpfully left keys for us so we could get in the apartment. We have visited before so this was not a problem.

A very minor point -s ome of the crockery (plates, glasses) and cutlery (knives, forks) may need to be checked as there are lots of some and few of others. Not a big problem though.

We arrived late so we missed the owners. They were, however, very obliging and helpful. The accomodation was very pleasant and we would go again.

We had an upstairs apartment with niether air conditioning or fans -either would have been helpful . Also an apartment for 6/8 needed a large fridge and freezer - It didn't. It only had a small fridge and no freezer.

I arrived very late, due to car problems so consequently there were nobody there, but the key was in the door, and we had no problem finding it.

It fullfilled our needs beautifully.A very tidy place, nicely lit up at night. Outside there were a table a little too small, if you were supposed to be 8 persons, we were 6 and managed. The property was restored 10 years ago and consequently all the trees have grown, so there were no view except from the tennis court or at the first floor. We missed the beautiful scenery overlooking Tuscany, either from the pool area or from our terrasse.
I think they do a great job to maintain the standard, i am sure they have had new bathrooms. Very positive.

The property had window nets, thats very nice so you can leave the windows open. I am not sure if it is stated on the web site, but one can pick vegetables from the property as you like it was wonderful, imaging how a tomato is like when you just pick it and eat it.

A wonderful place, nice and tidy. Nice flowers planted. The place was kept very nicely. A well functioned house if you like to cook yourselves. You have a small but private terrasse. The pool area is well equipped. The tennis court is beatifully situated, a bench overlooking that area is an idea. You can pick the vegetables from the fields. The staff is very prffesional, they are there without being too much seen. The property is situated near by a cosy village. Overall it was a very positive experience to stay at La Valle.

As we arrived really late - after 10 p.m., there was no-one to wait for us in person, but there was a welcome greeting and everything was so nicely heated.

As we were there in autumn, we didn't even expect to use the pool.

The villa was rustic in a very scenic location. The local village had all the amenities we needed and local super market only 200m away. Good central location for visiting other locations in Tuscany. We would visit again.

They have put a printed welcome-sign on the door. That felt very nice.

Our stay was very pleasant. However,we had difficulty sleeping in the house Leonardo. It was very hot in the bedrooms upstairs so we had to sleep on the extra beds in the livingroom. It was also quite close to the road and was a bit noisy.

The directions only led us to the town of Montaione (which were confusing at times). There were no directions specifically to LaValle. We had to ask someone in town how to get to the road La Valle is on.

The property is located on a main road through town and there was quite a bit of traffic noise. There were also dogs nearby that barked through the night. Not as peaceful as we expected for being in the country.
Although we were aware that there was no air conditioning, our apartment was very warm and it was uncomfortable to sleep at night, especially with windows open and the noise described above. It would be nice for villas without air conditioning to supply fans.

Location is very convenient for taking day trips to other parts of Tuscany.
Next time, I would book a private home preferably with air conditioning or at least fans.
