Restaurant: Restaurant La Mandragola is located in the historical centre and it has a wide dining room and a shady outdoor terrace. Nicola the "Patron", always searching for the genuine product, wants to propose his guests a selection of typical products of our region: "Cinta" pork, "Chianina" beef, sublime ham and various sausages of "Cinta" pork, Tuscan beans, extra-virgin olive oil from farm, truffle from our woods, pure saffron from San Gimignano. All our pasta is rigorously home-made and the recipes of our cakes are taken from the tradition of our family. The cellar of La Mandragola proposes a wide selection of regional wines. |
There is a gracious little garden in the property and a nice panoramic terrace where you can relax in the shade in the warm afternoons or perhaps get a fresh drink overlooking this beautiful town while waiting to dine in one of the local restaurants. |
The owner of La Mandragola is willing to welcome you and help you with advices about the best places to visit in San Gimignano, guided tours information and bookings, excursions and so on. We also have a special agreement with a nearby private parking (fee). |

Discovering nature, art and culture, sport and relaxation. San Gimignano lies on the top of a hill full of vineyards, silver olive groves and scented secular cypresses extending till the borders of dark woods of 'ilex', oaks and Mediterranean scrub. San Gimignano - town of austere towers, decorated churches and palaces - is an amazing architectural jewel of the Middle-Ages, an artistic rarity, a history open book, a place of ancient memories, all jealously kept by walls. You can choose among walking tours, cycling tours, driving tours (by scooter or car), across ancient towns and abbeys. In San Gimignano you can visit several museums and churches and attend many festivals during the year: the New Year's Eve on the squares, the Carnival, the Fiere delle Messi (medieval festival in June with knights parade), the operas and the concerts during the summer. Culture means also gastronomy: good eating and drinking. |
