It was mildly annoying to have to check in at a separate location than where we were staying.

We were disappointed with the breakfast. I understand that for the given rate, L'aia cannot provide a full breakfast, but I feel that the quality of the one provided was poor. The rolls were hard and the cakes were not very good or fresh. The pool was also a little bit too cold.

I am glad that we were able to check out without having to visit the other location.

We were extremely pleased with our stay at L' Aia. It provided the relaxing serenity of a country residence, while at the same time being incredibly convenient to Siena and highway access to all areas of Tuscany. We felt that our accomodations were an extremely good value and would certainly stay there again on our next visit to the area.

We found the check-in location very easily and from there it was very straight forward getting to the apartment.

We were delighted that the website was so accurate and that our apartment was so clean and charming. The grounds were absolutely beautiful and very well cared for! I will definately be recommending Aia Country Holidays to friends who are planning to visit the Tuscany area!

Everything was looked after during our check-in and all we had to do was leave the key in the apartment when we left!

The only thing that I would like to mention was the small shower in the bathroom. My husband is not an overly large man, but found the shower very uncomfortable. The rest of us were fine with it.

Absolutely wonderful!! The apartment was sparkling clean, spacious and the gardens were beautiful! I will certainly recommend to a friend and look forward to going back!!

We had a little trouble finding the reception area to check in, but we called the reception office and they talked us through how to reach them. Once at the reception office, the staff was very helpful to us.

Our unit was very clean and well kept up. The beds and furniture were all in excellent shape. The size of the rooms was generous and perfect for the number of people in our party.

We would definitely stay a L'Aia again if we were in the Siena area. We would also recommend it to our friends. We felt we got a good value for the money spent.

Clean, generous accommodations that were perfectly laid out for two couples to stay. The staff was extremely helpful and went out of their way to help us find and register for a cooking class. They also gave us several recommendations for restaurants to eat at. The grounds at L'Aia were like being on a small farm in Italy. There were chickens, Olive trees, a number of grape vines. fruit trees and a vegetable garden. There was also a swimming pool with a great western view for the sunset.

This is very nice cottage on to of the hill, whith nice view and surroungings. It's perfect strarting point for trips to Chianti region and Siena.

Quiet and peaceful but with easy access to the center of Sienna. We would definitely recommend staying at L'Aia than in the city center, which is not as accessible and much noisier. The fields and orchards at L'aia are picturesque - a great place to unwind after a busy sightseeing day and to watch the sun set over Tuscany.

the walk into siena is quite daunting, busy roads, small walkways, esp with a baby in stroller. and the bus service is almost impossible to make out. i would recommend that everyone plan on taking taxis into town. might be helpful to publish the average fare to the Centro.

We enjoyed our stay at L'aia very much.
The web site photos do not capture how lovely the large property is. We were pleasantly surprised by the amenities on the property, the views, and the overall ambience. Also, the check-in clerk, Stefano, was so helpful, escorting us to the property, and always available for questions.

The Home page for L'Aia is accurate, but as you explore the website more under FAQs, there is inaccurate info about the swimming pool and TV:
'Is there a swimming pool? When is it open?
No, a public swimming pool is 2 km away.'
We nearly cancelled because of this, as we had 3 children in the party who were expecting a pool. Fortunately, we did not cancel, and found a beautiful pool on the property.
In addition under FAQs:
'Is there a TV in the rooms/apartments? Are there international channels (satellite TV)?
No.'
Our apartment, I Papaveri, had a TV with satellite, and international channels.
Please update that inaccurate information.

We had to check out one day earlier due to return travel arrangements. We were not refunded for the last night - which I understand because we agreed to a weekly rate. However, while getting ready to leave the property on Friday (instead of Saturday) we were asked to hurry up and get out because they wanted to clean the room ??? Why, I don't know - since we had paid for the room for another day and in my mind could leave at any point during the day that we chose. This situation had us ending our stay on a sour note -
