By plane: There are several airports where you may land that are placed close to the property (the ones at Siena, Pisa and Florence). The terminal in Siena is placed around 50 kilometres from the inn; meanwhile, Peretola airport in Florence is 133 kms away from San Quirico.
By car: At Peretola, you must get on road A11/E76 and then A1/E35 towards "Roma". Take the exit for "Valdichiana", go through 2 roundabouts and proceed in direction to Torrita di Siena/Montefollonico/Pienza (SP15 and SS146). Once arrived in San Quirico turn left in Via dei Fossi and after 300m turn right in Piazzale 4 Novembre and then immediately right in Via Dante Alighieri (1 hour 50 minutes). From Ampugnano, where Siena's airport is located, you must take road SS73 and drive towards GROSSETO/AREZZO/PERUGIA/A1/ROMA. Get off at the exit for Siena Sud/SS2/Cassia and continue along SP6. Turn right in SR2, get off at the exit for Monteroni d'Arbia Sud and you will arrive in San Quirico D'Orcia. Turn right in Via della Liberazione, left in Piazzale 4 Novembre and right in Via Dante Alighieri (55 minutes driving).
By train: Bear in mind that there is no railway station in San Quirico: the nearest one is in Buonconvento (20 km) and in Montepulciano (20 km) and there is another one in Chiusi-Chianciano Terme (40 km). The railway station in Florence - Santa Maria Novella - is really easy to reach from the airport of Florence, on a public bus that gets to the centre of the city in no more than 30 minutes. From there you can get to the stations close to the property, and then get on buses or taxis to reach San Quirico. |
