Facilities within the Estate

 
Swimming Pool: the pool at "I Massini" (8m x 16m) is 1.3 m deep at the shallow end and 1.4 m at the deep end. It's not supervised.

Barbecue Area: You can organize your own barbecues at I Massini.
 
Wine and Olive Oil Tastings and sale of products: "I Massini" is part of "Antica Fattoria di Paterno" where the owners Famiglia Picchi produce wine (Chianti Rufina e Pomino), grappa and olive oil. Up to September 1999, it will be possible visiting the renovated wine Cellar with guided tastings.

Mountain bike: there are bikes available at "I Massini", free of charge.
Tennis Court: on the ground there is a syntethic tennis court, free of charge.
Laundry and Ironing: there is a washing machine in the utility room for communal use, there is also Iron and Ironing board available in the utility room..

Horse riding: It is possible to go horse riding at the riding centre situated in Montespertoli (15 km).
Banks: The nearest bank (C.R. San Miniato)is in Pozzale (4 km) and is open Mon-Fri 8.15-13.20 and 14.45-15.45. The bancomat (cash dispensers) accepts Visa/Mastercard.
Post Office: The nearest post office is in Monterappoli and is open Mon-Fri 8.15-13.30 and Saturday 8.15-12.30.
Food Shops: In Pozzale there is a small grocery shop and supermarket Coop. In Casenuove there is a restaurant-general store which is open on Sunday (restaurant hour). Plus on Wednesdays there is an open air market for fresh vegetable, fruit and cheese.
Chemist: The nearest chemist is in Pozzale and is open 09.00-13.00 and 16.30-20.00.
Petrol: The nearest petrol station (Shell) is in Pozzale (24 hour service).
Buses: There is a Lazzi bus service from Empoli (railway station) with buses going to Florence . Please remember to buy your ticket beforehand and validate the ticket on the bus. Ticket may be bought from the bar in the piazza of railway station in Empoli.

Ristorante "I Boccale" (Sammontana-Montelupo 8 km) closed at lunch on Sunday and Monday.

Trattoria Il Focolare (Montagnana) closed Monday evening & Tuesday and August -- medium price
Ristorante L' Artevino (Montespertoli 8km) closed Thursday ---medium price
