Our stay at Il Crocicchio was excellent. The restaurant is run by the owner and her suggestions for dinner were the best. The staff was consistently helpful, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They helped with maps for Florence and scheduled horse-back riding in nearby Filigne Valdano. I give this hotel full marks in all categories.

There was the best receptionist I have ever seen. Her name is Eleanorelli (sp?) She was so helpful with everything on the property and helped us with tour tickets in Florence. I cannot tell you how pleased we were with her. Please let her read this. She deserves a raise. And I would love to come back and see her again.

The restaurant was great. The food very good and very reasonable prices. I loved having it there and not having to drive after dinner. Sergio was our own very special chef and waiter. WE loved him and please give him a hug. I wanted to bring him home.

Our experience at Il Crocicchio was outstanding. Since we booked very close to our arrival time, we did not get the rooms we had chosen but were VERY satisfied with our rooms.

The breakfast was a little disappointing as the variety was slim and there were no bowls and spoons for the cereal offered. At all the other mealtimes the food and drink available was first rate.

Every member of their staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. They went out of their way to provide maps and directions for our day trips. They made us feel very welcome.

Beautiful villa! Nice pool, nice people, great wine, good room, I will definitely consider going back there if I make it to Tuscany again. It's the kinda place you wish you could stay at for a month. Absolutely loved it!

We had a wonderful stay at Il Crocicchio. I wish we could have stayed longer.
The bikes available for guests could be repaired or replaced with better, working bikes.

We were lost for about 30 minutes before we got on the right path to reach the property. More detailed directions would have been helpful.

The property was lovely once you got to it. After confusing directions to get on the right road, there is a very long 'lane' leading to the property that is only wide enough for one car. There were at least three occassions where we were faced with 'traffic jams' from cars coming in the opposite direction.
Overall, we were very pleased and would recommend Il Crocicchio to others, but would also warn about the single lane road to get there.
