Coming by Car: - From South: To get here from Rome, take the A1 highway north towards Milan, leaving it at Valdichiana exit and taking E78 highway towards Siena. Exit Siena Sud then follow the sign "Porta Tufi-Il Campo" Parking. You can park here your car, we are 250 m far from the parking. Walk towards 'Piazza del Campo' taking Via S.Agata, then Via Duprč and turn left in Vicolo del Salvadore-Piazza del Mercato. Go straight on in Via dei Malcontenti and turn right. Now you are in Via Salicotto, we are at number 73. - From North: To get here from Florence, take the A1 highway south towards Roma, exit at "Firenze Certosa" and the take the free highway towards Siena. Exit at Siena Sud and continue following the sign "Porta Tufi-Il Campo" covered Parking. You can park here your car, we are 250 m far from the parking. Walk towards Piazza del Campo taking Via S.Agata, than Via Duprč and turn left in 'Vicolo del Salvadore-Piazza del Mercato. Go straight on in Via dei Malcontenti and turn right. At the cross turn left for Via San Girolamo and left again for Via Salicotto. You will find us at number 73. The historical centre is 'no traffic zone' but you have a special permit to arrive to our apartments and leave your luggage. We need only your number plate and your passport at the check-in. - From North: To get here from Florence, take the A1 highway south towards Roma, leaving it at the Certosa exit and taking the free highway towards Siena. Exit at Siena Sud and continue following the direction Roma - Porta Romana. Go into the historic town centre through Porta Romana following Via Roma. At the cross turn left for Via San Girolamo and left again for Via Salicotto. We are at house no. 73. The historical centre is 'no traffic zone' but you have a special permit to arrive to our apartments and leave your luggage. We need only your number plate and your passport at the check-in.
Coming by Train: - From the main railway station in Florence (Santa Maria Novella) there are many trains to Siena Railway Station. If you prefer the bus: A few steps from the main railway station in Florence there is the Bus station: there are often busses to Siena's city-centre. The bus usually is speeder than the train. - From Rome to Siena by train or by bus: From 'Roma Tiburtina' Railway and Bus Station there are many direct busses every day to Siena. The bus Company is called 'Sena'. From 'Roma Centrale' Reilway Station you can reach Siena by train but you have to change in 'Chiusi'. - From the main Railway Station of Siena to Casa Vacanze Il Campo: From Siena Railway Station the easiest way to get to 'Casa Vacanze Il Campo' is to take a taxi or a bus (for example bus number 3 ,4 ,9 ,10, 17, 77 in direction centre). There is a bus each 5-10 minutes. However if you prefer to walk and get a feel for Siena it is a 2 km walk from the station to us. Leave the square of the train station, Piazza Carlo Rosselli, into Via Achille Sclavo, turn right at the round about and right again into Viale Giuseppe Mazzini. Continue into Via Garibaldi. At the end of Via Garibaldi turn left into Via Dei Montanini-Piazza Salimbeni, continue into Banchi di Sopra, then Via di Cittą and go into 'Piazza del Campo'. Looking the Palazzo Pubblico (City Hall) take the street on the Palazzo Pubblico left side called 'Via Salicotto' We are at house n.73.
Coming by Plane: - From Florence "A. Vespucci" airport take the shuttle bus up to Santa Maria Novella railway station and then follow as above. From Pisa "G.Galilei" airport you can reach Santa Maria Novella station by train and then take a train or a bus as described above. |
