We arrived late in the evening but the receptionist stayed to welcome us and hand over the keys as well as showing us around the property.We did not however have any help with our luggage which had to be carried up the very steep hill at Il Borro.Ok for us as we are fit and able but any older visitors would have had a problem.

We were initially disappointed with the state of the swimming pool area as the two sun umbrellas were broken and just left by the pool.The sun beds were overturned and one was in the pool which we removed.The pool was also full of leaves and dirt so we could not use it.We did mention this problem and it was dealt with the following day to our satisfaction although new sun umbrellas were not installed during the week of our stay.

Whilst we were there there was a wedding at the church.We were not aware that the church was a working church and it would be a good idea for you to include this in your web details.I mention this as many people in the UK like to get married abroad particularly in warm sunny climates and in my opinion you should market this fact on the web site.

Idylically peaceful- beautiful surroundings - well maintained grounds and village, and many places to visit.

Finding the location was very difficult (and we talked to other guests who all had the same problem). On-premise parking was a serious problem and the staff at the restaurant were not very pleasant. Continental breakfast was bad. It is a beautiful location and the accomodation were excellent, but they seemed amateurish at hosting guests. We would not return.

Directions on how to use kitchen appliances and equipment were very poor. Lighting was bad in all rooms. Bathrooms were wonderful! Ambiance of the location was wonderful!

A very quaint yet modern villa in something of an out-of-the-way location. A car is essential. Not a good location as a base for visiting other parts of Tuscany, but perfect as a retreat to recharge, read and take in the natural beauty of the area. Few services and facilities, so expect to cook for yourselves. Bring good maps!

Only one problem. I had a package delivered to the hotel by FedEx. It was received by the hotel reception in the afternoon but not brought to my room until the following morning. I was disappointed that it the package was not brought to my room immediately.
