 Available Services: A comprehensive range of services are available during your stay at Il Borro, some of which are included in the accommodation package, others will be provided upon request.
Maid Service - We have a lively team of ladies who will come everyday (except on Sunday) to clean your apartment during your stay, this is included in the price of the accommodation, however, they are also happy to provide a daily maid service at a very reasonable rate. All apartments are thoroughly cleaned prior to your arrival, and all bedroom and bathroom linens will be fresh from the laundry.
Babysitting - Our priority, like all Italians is the family unit, however we also understand that Mum and Dad would like a break now and then. When this is the case you simply need to make a booking for one of our experienced lady babysitters (all Mothers themselves) to come to your apartment and look after the children. Whether for a romantic evening out or a cultural day trip which may bore the kids the ladies are happy to oblige.
Car Hire - We are able to arrange car hire for you either from the airport or train station, this enables you to have complete freedom to explore the region at leisure. This service is free of charge.
Information Service - Upon your arrival you will be presented with a welcome pack which contains information on Il Borro, useful phone numbers, good restaurants, museums and galleries. If however, you would like help planning day trips, directions, finding the best shopping areas, suggestions on how to find places "off the beaten track", interesting activities or places to go with the children please give us a call. If in the unlikely event that we cannot answer your query we promise to find out for you! This service is free of charge. |
 Sport Facilities: during your stay at Il Borro there are many things to see and do, exploring the village, country walks and swimming being the obvious but a wide range of other activities are available on request including: mountain biking, hiking, fishing, gliding lessons, hot air ballooning and a comprehensive range of horse riding activities (picnic rides, lessons and trekking to name a few).
Excursions: the unique situation of Il Borro lends itself perfectly to the exploration of Tuscany, sitting practically in the middle of three of the most important Italian cultural centres Florence, Siena and Arezzo and just a couple of hours away from Rome and Pisa by car or train. For those wishing to explore by car we are happy to give directions to local places of interest, wineries, restaurants, places for the children, shopping expeditions or just quiet "off the beaten track" locations. Also it can also save a lot of holiday time to let us book gallery or museum tickets for you beforehand. We do however arrange a comprehensive range of day trips via minibus to all areas of Tuscany and Umbria.
One Day City Excursions: Florence - Siena - Arezzo - Pisa - San Gimignano - Perugia - Assisi - Cortona - Poppi - Orvieto - Lucca.
Half or One Day Shopping Excursions: to visit one or two of fashion outlets belonging to two of the worlds most famous designer houses, or one fashion outlet and an internationally renowned glassware factory.
One Day Winery Tour: sample the wine without the worry of driving by joining one of our wineries tours, we take the route through the breathtaking Chianti hills to visit some of the most prominent wine makers and beautiful hillside towns of the area. |
 Osteria: upon entering the village one finds L'Osteria del Borro, a friendly elegant restaurant offering traditional Tuscan foods prepared from locally grown and Borro products. Dining either on the terrace or by candlelight creates the perfect ambience in which to enjoy the cuisine and fine wines available here. This locality specialises in ceremonies and functions yet also gives a warm welcome to the many tourists and locals who dine there - also offering mid-afternoon home-made snacks of bruschetta and schiacciata for the hungry explorer. Open six days a week, all year round, closed on Wednesdays. |
 Courses: at Il Borro is also possible to take various weeklong courses including horse riding, archery and gliding.
Events: weddings, birthdays, anniversaries or other formal or informal events can be arranged on request.
Weddings - Over the ages it has been said that lovers married at Il Borro are blessed, by the rock from the mountain - a foundation upon which to build, the soil from the meadows - indicating fertility, water from the river - indicating that through the turmoils of life the couple will stay as one and the sun from heaven for warmth and happiness. Certainly a more romantic setting is hard to find. For couples wishing to share their big day here a full wedding service is provided to alleviate the stress and allow you to really relax and enjoy this important occasion.  "Il Borro a casa": the shop "Il Borro a Casa" is situated on the main thoroughfare of the village and is immediately recognisable by the jasmine bush framing the gleaming windows which gives the impression of a veritable Aladdin's cave of goodies within. Open every day of the year the shop sells delightful gifts for the home, local crafts, souvenirs and products of the estate such as honey, olive oil and wine. |
