Everything was as described by you. The directions to the Borgo were circuitous and misleading! ... No need ... Hard to find ... Bad directions ... Charming and comfortable

Fantastic Experience. ... Italian banks take a large amount in fees for foreign transfers of money. (it cost an additional E30 for our deposit) Bank drafts from New Zealand take too long in the mail, and so in my opinion, all your properties would benefit from credit card facilities. ... Good website - maybe need instruction for user to 'click on the photos' to get further information on each apartment. ... Fantastic stay in a great location with top class facilities and excellent professional staff.

We arrived about an hour before the stated check in time of 4pm, so the reception office was closed when we arrived. ... Lovely place and wonderful hospitality! The apartment was very well-kept, clean and comfortable for our family of 4. Dinner at the restaurant was marvelous! The location was convenient to sightseeing in Sienna, Chianti, and Florence. We hope to return someday.

Lovely to get there and be greeted by such a friendly reception. Good clear details about the property given to us straight away. ... Wonderful. Only problem was the heat! The apartment was hotter than it was outside and was difficult to cool. ... No. Very good web site. ... A wonderful place to stay with amazing views and friendly people.

nothing to add - very efficient ... Staff very friendly and helpful especially in giving recommendations re eating out. However it would help if a map with clear directions to the recommended restaurants was available along with the information booklet in the appartment. Sometimes they were difficult to find from the verbal directions! ... no comments - very quick and efficient ... Wonderfully peaceful and beautiful. An idylic spot.

WE had a very big group staying there and they were able to handle everyone very well and efficiently. ... We really loved the place and have many comments below, but here are a few comments that I received from our group. One comment from our group in regards to the websites were bike rentals. There were bikes to use but they were not in working condition. A little bike maitanance would solve the problem. Another comment I received from our group was that the upper apartments were quite warm. It did cool down at night but during the day they warmed up. I think supplying a fan would have been helpful for those staying on the upper levels. The apartments on the lower floors however remained quite comfortable. ... The property was much more than we expected. It was located in a very beautiful and secluded area. The property is surrounded by the vineyard and olive trees. Beyond that there are forests and remote dirt roads that are perfect for nice walks. The grounds were very well attended with beautiful gardens and many blooming geraniums, just like you would imagine a tuscan hamlet to be like. The apartments were very nice and comfortable. The kitchens were adequately supplied with all we needed. The apartments were a mix of an old Tuscan house and modern ammenities. I think our favorite places were the patio seating around the villa that we could gather around, relax, drink their excellent wine and absorb the view. The pool was another highlight. A place to relax and read a good book and soak in the sun.
We had our wedding there and it was an absolutely perfect setting. It was a simple wedding and we didn't require much from the staff for the ceremony execpt sweeping off one of the patios. The dinner that was prepared for us was fabulous; my regards to the chef. I would highly recommend the tiramisu. The service during the wedding meal and other meals we had there was professional and the table settings were done very tastefully. There is a large covered patio connected to their restuarant that we were able to have our dinner on. It made it a very lovely setting and a good place to watch the sunset over the hills.
With such a big group the staff were very friendly, helpful and patient with all of our questions and needs. I would say the staff was 'easy going' and smiled often, which certainly added to the relaxing atmosphere and tone of the property.
In short, Borgo Iesolana was absolutaley fantastic and beautiful and went far beyond our expectations. It supplied us with many wonderful memories and a place we plan to return to in future years. Note: even our wedding photographer from Siena, who has seen many Tuscan properties said this was a very nice place.

Several concerns in our rooms were immediately corrected. ... It is the perfect location for day trips to other towns( Siena, Assisi, Volterra, etc.) ... Divine! And I only wish that I could have stayed longer.

Louise, the recpetionist was very helpful and warm. ... During our stay we found the room to be freezing cold during the nights and some days. We understand that heat is turned on on November 1 and we were there in Oct. but the website should perhaps be more forthright about the fact that the evenings are very very cold and there is no heat. We survived, but if we had had a child with us, we would not have been able to stay. I think they should give the option of turning on the heat to the customer. ... Check out was easy and they accomodated our request to check out the day before due to our early departure. ... the quiet location is wonderful, the tranquil atmosphere is exactly what we wanted ... I would highly recommend it for a week in the quiet country side

The directions were fine until we took the Voldarno exit off the A1 Roma. After that we couldn't understand the directions to Bucine. ... Giovanni and his employees were all very helpful. Our accommodation was spacious and very nicely furnished and in fabulous condition. The kitchen was also very well supplied. The reception/wine bar was very stylishly furnished. It is evident that quite an investment has been made into this borgo and we really appreciated the comforts of all that was provided. ... Borgo Iesolana is a wonderful place to stay. The accommodations are very nicely appointed and the bathrooms have great fixtures (good quality sink, toilet and showers). The property is beautifully landscaped and has great views of the surrounding grape and olive fields.

The distances seemed much longer than stated on the directions. ... My only comments involve the kitchen. There were not enough lights in the kitchen. We moved the dining table near to the door so that we could have light coming in from the door to help out. Also we had to purchase staples such as salt and pepper and though there were oil and vinegar cruets, there were no shakers for the salt and pepper. ... Beautiful, peaceful, quiet. On a hill at the top of the world!

Franchesca gave us a tour and made us feel very welcome. ... We loved the isolated location, the surounding vineyards and olive orchards, hikes in the forest and the wonderful views across the valley. ... The family atmosphere which makes one feel a part of the entire group. Also, the magnificent views. ... A perfect place to unwind and relax.
