The problem was, that the hotel is very noisy (typical italian new build home with thin walls ) and the staff polite but very, very incompetent! The bread, ham etc. for breakfast was 'told off' , so the people hesitated to go a second time to the buffet!
... The hotel is notig for someone who looks for a quiet place and wants a good breakfast! ... Incompetent staff and to expensive for what was given!

A perfect tuscan experience. When we arrived Andrea (the owner and receptionist) was waiting for us. He was so helpful and showed our apartment (he helped us with our lodges). We choose Il Pellicano Old Style apartment. It's a perfect apartment for us and for our children. Very comfortable and really 'old style'. It's near the pool and restaurant; very warm and quiet. I recommend Il Pellicano apartment for a family. Very clean with a good view on forest. ... The first night and the last one, we made an excellent dinner at I Tre Baroni restaurant: lovely location with view on valley in outside pergola, very good food and service. You have to try the Zucchini flowers with ricotta and tomatoes, then hand-made tagliolini pasta with truffle (real truffle!) and steak with Porcini mushrooms; from wine list (more of 300 different wines) we choose a good Chianti Riserva Nipozzano, recommended by Andrea. During our stay we made excursion in National Park of Casentino forest, by walk and by bike rent at I Tre Baroni. They have many maps about trekking, paths, MTB excursion... everything. We saw also an amazing video about National Park. The outside pool is simply lovely: a stunning view on valley (you see the Poppi castle in front of you), very relaxing and quiete. The water was always clean (Matteo made it! A very gentleman) and we spent many time there. Our children were happy to swim there totally free, and to run in panoramic relax terrace garden. I'll suggest I Tre Baroni to my friends for a perfect amazing holiday in Tuscany. ... Our check-out was so difficult: we didn't want leave I Tre Baroni. Our children asked us to stay another week, but it was impossible for us (damned work!). They gave us a gift for our stay (a bottle of wine and a good hand-made jam), but we thought that we had to give a gift to Baroni's Family. ... I suggest to change the first pictures (on tuscany.net) about pool, because the pool is real better than picture. ... Read upper, please.

very difficult and confusing to arrive. You need to have better directions. Since the hotel is in a remote location, deep in the mountain forests of Tuscany, we lost our way several times on the way there, and it took a while until we found it.
It will also be helpful to state the time it takes to arrive to Florence, Siena, and other popular locations. It seems close on the map, but it is actually quite far and goes through a windy country road. ...
We had a wonderful stay at I Tre Baroni. Gorgeous location, very nice and helpful staff, beautiful and clean room (We had the Blue Suite)and great breakfasts. ...
Exact and details directions how to get there would be VERY HELPFUL!!!! ... Magical
