Our apartments have been fully restored by following the standards of the palace. You will have an unique possibility to spend the days in an ambiance of tranquillity in an old medieval village. Here you will find an invitation to return to the past times by dreaming of time lazily passing by, as you admire nature and all the antique testimonies which only our village and the surrounding countryside can offer.
 
The apartments offer modern facilities, such as television, safety box, electric oven, hair dryer. A parking is available near the property, so that you can leave your car at the end of the day. Mercantia 2005: the well known medieval theatrical festival market has now arrived to its XVIII edition and from 12th to 17th July our village will be animated by craftsmen and artists coming from all over the world. They will represent the "street theatre" in every shape. It is possible to experience the lively atmosphere of this event which attracts people from everywhere. From the train station situated in the new city, you can use the funicular to reach the top of the hill (130 meters high) where there is the antique village "the Castle" which is surrounded by antique walls and which is characterized by the red colour of "cotto" which is present both in buildings and in the streets.
Some important buildings: the Stiozzi Ridolfi palace (XV cent.), the Giannozzi palace, the Macchiavelli palace, Boccaccio's house where according to the tradition, Giovanni Boccacio spent the last years of his life.
