By Car from Florence - Rome A1 Highway:
A1 motorway (Autostrada del Sole):exit Valdichiana
From the motorway tollgate, take the Siena-Perugia dual carriageway (superstrada), direction Perugia, and follow the exit for Cortona as marked. Take the S.S. 71 as far as Camucia, then follow signs for Cortona and Hotel San Michele.
By Train:

From both the Terontola-Cortona station (11km) and the Camucia-Cortona station (5km) there is a bus link and taxi service to Cortona. The closest station is the one in Camucia, but on the line Florence - Rome some Express trains and Intercity trains stop at Terontola (approx. 10 kilometers from Cortona) while others stop in Arezzo (30 kilometers from Cortona).
