By Car
From the north of Italy take the motorway A12 towards Genova-Livorno, then exit at Rosignano and take the national road S.S. Aurelia and exit at Venturina _ Isola d'Elba and take the regional route towards Piombino Marittima.
From the north-east of Italy take the motorway A1 towards Bologna-Firenze-Pisa-Livorno, then exit at Rosignano and take the national road S.S. Aurelia and exit at Venturina _ Isola d'Elba and take the regional route towards Piombino Marittima.
From the south of Italy take the motorway A12, towards Roma-Grosseto, exit at Civitavecchia and take the national route S.S. Aurelia towards Grosseto-Livorno and exit at Venturina-Isola d'Elba and take the regional route towards Piombino Marittima.
From the harbour of Piombino Marittima take the ferry or hydrofoil to the Island of Elba. The ferries and hydrofoils run every 30 minutes, the journey takes 35 minutes by hydrofoil and 60 minutes by ferry.
Once you are in Elba, follow the sign "tutte le direzioni" (all directions) and then folloe the indications for "Campo nell'Elba, Marciana Marina, Marciana, Procchio", when you arrive in Procchio, follow the sign "Marciana Marina" until a little street on the right that indicate Spartaia.
By Train
From Firenze Santa Maria Novella take the train to Piombino Marittima and then you have to take the ferry or hydrofoil and then follow as above.
By Plane
From Pisa Airport take the train to Pisa Centrale, then other train to Campiglia Marittima and from there another train to Piombino, from Piombino you have to take the hydrofoil to reach the island. |
