It could have been good, if you mention, that the accomodation is 3 km far from the road in the middle of the forest. And how much time does it take to get to the next city - because distance is very tricky in Toscana. ... It was a very nice place, and I was really glad the the real picture was the same as it was on the net. ... We got some extras for breakfast, and we were not informed that we have to pay for it. ( we didn't think that this is extra...)But this was just a tiny issue. ... Beautiful place in the middle of the forest, with very good kitchen. Perfect relaxation. Very positive, that the staff was very helpful in guiding us in Toscana. We'd like to go back there to try this toscana cooking course!

All phone numbers did not work (on divert)all day of arrival ! So finding the place at night proved difficult and time consuming, even when asking locals in Pomarance. ... Generally everything including special requests were delt with very well & professionally. ... Great scenary all around. Very pleasant staff. Accommodate children well.

We found the gates closed on arrival -- lucky we had a mobile phone on us! Once in, the welcome was warm. The long drive way to the property is very gravelly and could be improved. ... An absolutely perfect spot for those who want to be away from it all with the best views from a swimming pool I have ever experienced. Friendly proprietors. Truly wonderful. ... Well organised. ... There was a restaurant. We didn't use it (as we didn't expect it) on the one night we were there, but it's a great bonus as the place is pleasantly isolated from the world (no nearby villages). ... An absolutely perfect spot for those who want to be away from it all. It has the best views from a swimming pool I have ever experienced. Friendly proprietors. Clean, spacious apartment, well appointed. A wonderful spot. Highly recommended.

Very helpful - helped carry luggage from car and to the room. ... Staff were always willing to help with questions and advice. ... We were asked to pay for extra coffees we had at breakfast We were never made aware of this extra charge when being asked if we wanted them. We were also not told in advance that this would be extra. When breakfast is included in the price - extra coffees should not be chargeable. We have stayed at many hotels in Europe and this is the first time we have ever been asked to pay extra. ... Guests should always ask what they will be charged extra for on arrival. ... Wonderful experience, but be prepared for a lot of travelling to see places of interest. Also the quality of the approach road deteriorates nearer to the property.

road directions were poor on the way to the resort. The directions on the web were clear to get to the area but to find the resort was difficult as they need clearer roads signs showing the way. ... it is a lovely resort, a liitle bit isolated but definately one to stay in if you want to get away from it all.

At first we were a bit surprised because the road leading to the estate was in a poor condition but we didn't pay any attention to it later on because the villa itself was wonderful not to speak about the nice people, the excellent service, the magnificent swimming pool and the food there. ... See above ... A good car is needed. ... Marvellous view, multifunctional, relaxing swimming pool, delicious cuisine, very friendly staff, relaxing athmosphere.

Directions listed were wrong: since the place is so far away from everything, there needs to be more details. Also, it would be helpful to detail time (not just distance) to major cities. ... Great accomodations, friendliest and helpful staff. Rooms were very nice...exceeded expectations. Only complaint was that it was in the middle of nowhere, which may be what some people would want. However, for me, going to Volterra, Siena, San Giamgiano, and Florence was quite a trek from Relais Guado Al Sole.

There are industrial factories in the area. ... It is a bit unfair to ask for Linet and Towels for a stay of 3 days the same amount as for a whole week. However, we did know that in advance. ... - Positive - wonderful pull - Negative - Industrial near by.

8. Underneath our room was a patio which had several tables and chairs. On Saturday evening there was a large group outside using these chairs and the noise did not stop until around 12:00 (midnight). ... No ... The place we stayed at was very nice.
